He listened to the symptoms and my assessment of the problem, explored my basement with me and then investigated outside as well. He was very knowledgeable talking about what it could be, what he's seen and knew exactly what to ask and where to look to uncover the problem. He diagnosed the issue and came up with a solution and plan right away. He came the next day to rod out my sewer which was the core fix and did a great job and scoped the line before and after to show me the difference it made. I had never worked with Ray before. I had a repair project on a gas line running from furnace and water heater in basement that required attention. Ray was responsive, reasonable, competent, and accommodating. His quote was less than other quotes, and he performed the work efficiently and worked within our timeline and on schedule. "Mr. Gentry was negligent in the installation of the sump pumps by not drilling weep holes for the sump pumps in the PVC pipes per the installation instructions. This caused the sump pumps to malfunction and my basement to flood. Mr. Gentry was out of town when my basement flooded and I called Four Seasons to fix the sump pumps. Four Seasons did so by drilling the weep holes in the PVC pipes. In addition he found a microfiber rag wrapped around the battery pump which must have been dropped by Mr. Gentry during installation. This rag also prohibited the pump from activating. The cost for Four Seasons was $572. My basement was damaged by the flood and we hired Parkside Restoration to remove the damaged carpeting and baseboards. They set up 20 air movers and 2 large dehumidifiers for 4 days. The cost was $4,470. As the water had seeped up the walls, I had to repaint the basement at a cost of $236. I did the painting myself. The new carpet cost is $4,183. Mr. Gentry charge was $3,300 for the sump pumps installation plus some additional plumping work. Contact with Mr. Gentry was made via email on Sept 8, 2024 to which he responded about how much money I was looking for to which I responded that I had not looked @ carpeting yet and would contact him when I had a final amount. My 2nd contact with Mr. Gentry was on October 16, 2024 when he stated that he only warrants his work for 1 year and the flooding occurred 16 months later so he would not assume any responsibility. I told him the pump failure was caused by his negligence to drill weep holes in the PVC pipes per installation instructions. I again contacted Mr. Gentry via text on October 18, 2024 to attempt to settle. He called and stated he would call me on October 21, 2024. We did not hear back from Mr. Gentry again. I would like total reimbursement for the damages to my basement of $9,461 which includes the costs of Four Seasons $572, Parkside Restoration $4,470, paint $236 and carpet $4,183 totaling $9,461."

"When I first talked to Mike on the phone, he asked me to take a picture of the pipe that was broken. I sent him a picture of my leaking pipe, and told him it?s two feet long. He came over, looked at it and started telling me about other work that needed to be done in my basement. I live in a 130+ year old home and I know what works and what doesn?t. He made me very uneasy about how much he was walking around my basement, nowhere near the leaky pipe. He told me he would come back the next day. I didn?t understand why he didn?t fix it- I was unable to use my kitchen sink because of it. But I said ok. At the time he was supposed to be at my house the next day, he called me to say he had food poisoning, but he would be at my house the next day. I gave him one more try and he blew off that appointment. I called him three times- no answer. I found another plumber from someone else, that came out that same day and replaced my leaky pipe - and charged me less than what Mike bid. "

"Had a bad leak coming through my ceiling drywall so I cut out an area to see where it was leaking from. Service King called and immediately came out to check the problem. It was leaking from the upstairs bathtub drainpipe. We set up an appointment right away. They came out on time, extracted the old brass waste and overflow assembly for my upstairs tub in a couple of hours. They also found a leak in another water pipe above the ceiling and changed a leaking supply line for my toilet. Was very happy with the work done and would recommend them for any plumbing work to be done."

"Thankful for the quick service. They claim a $79 fee to come out and provide a quote. The $79 fee can be applied to the job if I agree. What they don't tell you ahead of time is that they have a flat rate of $494 for the task. The task was nominal and took 45 minutes to complete. Pricing seems ridiculous. I know plumbers don't make anywhere near what we were charged. Even with overhead and a less than 1 hour job with $30 worth of parts, it is nowhere near what we were charged. Quite criminal. Wouldn't use them again. Boooooo."
