"Monty was great. Came out within a day or two to give me a surprising low estimate, and returned a couple of days later to do the work. It was a complicated job because it involved structural elements. Monty clearly knows what he's doing and takes pride in his work. He ended up doing more than I'd asked for on his own initiative at no extra charge. My house is close to a hundred years old, so I am experienced in getting work done. I can't imagine that this work could have been done better, or cheaper by anyone else. Plus he seems like a nice guy. Hire him, you won't be sorry."

"This was a worry-free, done-right experience. Extensive work done on lake home, including railings for dock walkway, moving an iron gate and replacing with an automatic-opening one, a gate for the deck fencing, railing for the house walkway. Upon completion, there was nothing that needed correction. He also installed a Sunsetter retractable awning for us which was a good savings since we purchased it from Costco. "It went well.  I am in a new (to me) home, and I did not expect the mold problem, so the extra cost was a hit, but I always maintained my other home well, and I have to fix the things wrong on this one.  The technician was really polite and professional, and informed me of everything he was doing, and provided a detailed listing of what was wrong.  I can't climb the stairs to the attic to see, so I couldn't see the problem, but I took his word for it.  He even replaced a dirty vent in the front living room.

"requested service since we thought we had a squirrel stuck in the chimney, a technician came the same day to check the chimney, determined that no squirrel or other critter was stuck in the chimney and offered to check the attic as well - no charge for this; we had previous problems with birds and squirrels getting into the chimney and then the fireplace.  we did not have the technician check the attic at this first visit.  the technician informed us that they could screen off the chimney cap to prevent entry by animals and birds.  we immediately scheduled this service for the following week with the technician that checked the chimney.  in the interim we continued to hear scratching in the chimney, on the day of the scheduled service one technician checked the attic for infestation while the other technician began the work on the "exclusion to chimney."  we did not have any critters in the attic, nesting materials were found in the top of the chimney.  we have a two story home and entry to the attic is small.  the technicians were efficient and helpful (even taking down a wasp nest).  this was a pleasant experience and would definitely use this company again.

"We planned to begin work next week but cancelled the job as we are now planning to buy a new house.  This had nothing to do with JC or Unique Construction Concepts.  We determined that we needed more square footage overall and the updates we planned to do to our house would make the price per square foot too high for our neighborhood.  JC was very nice and understanding with our change of plans and wanted to be sure he didnt' do anything to cause our change of plans.  JC's price was more than fair and the plans he created would have looked awesome in our house.  I have JC's number saved in my cell phone and will be sure to call if our new house needs updating/changes.  This guy is super busy but does a great job staying in touch with his customers.  I know we all use Angie's List to find someone trustworthy and I felt that with JC.
