Ridgeway Construction Inc is a family owned and operated General B licensed construction company serving the Greater Sacramento area. We specialize in decks, siding, dry rot repairs and remodels but as a General B Licensed Contractor - CSLB Lic. 1083145 - we do everything from fencing, painting, and concrete to French drains and everything in-between whether it's big or small. We do most of the work ourselves and, whether it's our own crew on the job or one of our personally vetted subcontractors, our GC Mike physically oversees all work to ensure consistency of excellence and even puts on his own bags. "Alex and Eric were great to work with on our remodel (knocked out two walls, new kitchen, laundry room and revamped the dining, family and living rooms and raised some ceilings). They weren't the cheapest or the most expensive but the quality of work they completed was undeniably terrific! Alex has a wealth of construction knowledge and always provided cost effective alternatives for issues that in the end always turned out better than what I was expecting. Alex and his crew paid attention to details throughout the construction process and always strived to make me happy with their work products. They stayed on budget (minus change orders based on my upgrades) and would have stayed on schedule if not for some overlooked structural issues that my engineer had to work through with the city to approve the permit amendment. Eric was easy to work with through the contract process answering my questions promptly. The only minor complaint I have is some of their workers start work at 9am so they sometimes stay until 7pm+. Since I'm retired it wasn't an issue and allowed the workers to completely finish a certain phase of the work by the end of the day. Overall, I am very happy with the quality of work Vostok completed at my house and would highly recommend them."

"Oscar had done work for us in the past. We were very pleased with what he had done in the past. When we hired another contractor for this job, we realized we made a big mistake. The unlicensed contractor did not get a USA ticket before he started work. He cut out the Comcast wires and Comcast started an investigation. The unlicensed contractor walked away from the job. When I contacted Oscar, he came over the same day. He provided a comprehensive contract and started the next day. The thing I appreciate the most is that he only does one job at a time. They showed up every day at 7 am to begin work. As soon as the framing was removed from the previous contractor, he noticed that they had not put the drainage pipes so they would drain. The next thing they did was to lay the pipes flat so the water would drain. They started with footing and added blocks before they put the fencing on top. The took out the 8-foot fence and added a gate as well as cement leading up to the gate from the turf. The job was completed in four days and is beautiful. It has added a lot of value to my home. I highly recommend Oscar. He listened to what I wanted and gave me recommendations to consider. He checks in often to make sure that everything is being done according to my wishes. He walked the job with me when he was finished. He and his workers take pride in their work, and they left the job much better than the unlicensed contractor left the site. Oscar will definitely stay at the top of my list any time I need work done around my house."
