"Valerio is a true professional. He responded to our inquiries timely and completely. He was patient and thorough when guiding us through the approval process for our home addition. His advice was given readily and was so helpful in bringing our project to life. We believe that the value he brought to our project, and at such a reasonable price was crucial to getting ZBA approvals. He met every expectation that we had and we would highly recommend him."

"Fernando was awesome to work with. He is super responsive from the time I connected with him both via phone and through texting. He wants to make sure the job is done right. His guy Jackson, who handled my detailed tile work did an amazing job. My shower walls were not plum, and Jackson took great care to make sure that the project came out correctly as I envisioned. I had my plumber stop by yesterday to put on the finishing fixtures on the shower. When I told him about the effort Jackson put in to make the walls plumb, he was very impressed and said it was very rare these days to find someone willing to do the job correctly and well! He said the tile work looked incredible!"

"The true treasure of the experience was the carpenter, Balint, who was a very detail oriented craftsman. He worked long days, cleaned up space beautifully each day, communicated daily with us regarding the project. The electricians, Vince and Joe, were thorough and complete with all of their work. The project manager, Pete, stayed in touch regularly to complete the renovation on time."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
Hamden Addition & Remodeling Contractors are rated 4.8 out of 5 based on 40 reviews of 40 pros.
