We interviewed a dozen different companies before settling on Sunshield Awning Co. they were neither the lowest price nor the highest price, but was very competitive. Joe was our contact person for our patio cover. I cannot say enough good things about the integrity of this man! Total asset for Sunshield, he worked long and hard for us, we felt that he was the most honest and reliable of all of the companies we requested bid from, this really paid off when we had design change during the project Joe made the design change a simply process. Sunshield contacted all the authorities and gave us a HOA architectural committee kit with everything we needed for the HOA. From the beginning of the project to the end Joe, Stacy, and the owner stay in-touch with us from beginning to end of the project to make sure everything was the way we wanted it. The team that worked on our patio cover was reliable and responsible people who picked up, cleaned up after themselves, and made sure that we were happy with the job at every step. Our project was not easy, not a simple patio cover, we have the cover fan beams, stucco columns and roof tile to match the house on the perimeter of the patio cover. "Honesty, Sincerity, and Hard Work -- Koda Patios represents the good old American values. Jackie answered the phone and was very knowledgeable and helpful. Pat came out to do the estimate and was very honest and sincere on how to address the problem. My aluminum awning is still in good condition, and attached to the house via a wooden fascia which is rotten. Pat helped me to fix the problem by building 4 additional posts to hold it, similar to that of a free standing patio cover. He was very honest in addressing my needs. He did not try to upsell me a new patio cover which could be more profitable for him. Even though the job is small, he patiently spent time explaining how he would perform the work. Prior to calling Koda Patios, I had another contractor (Patios for Less) come in for an estimate. They tried to upsell me a new patio and planned to install this proposed new cover onto the rotten wood fascia. Unlike Koda Patios, all they care is making the sale for a new cover and get my deposit. I'm so glad that I waited for Koda Patios to come by after my experience with the previous contractor. I would highly recommend Koda Patios for your patios needs. Yes, you can still find honest, sincere, and hard working folks if you're willing to do your research."
