In 1986 John Gallagher had one goal – to provide top quality exterior remodeling products and workmanship at a reasonable price along with incredible service before and after the job. Exterior Designers Inc started with and maintains that philosophy and mission.
"I have had the pleasure of working with John Gallagher, owner, of Exterior Designers, Inc. (EDI) several time over the past twenty years. I first met John as a young new homeowner. We needed a roof and also were in the market to replace the outdated aluminum siding. I always begin a job with at least three estimates, and we were working within a budget. EDI was not the least expensive but was the only company whose owner (John) came out and explained what was needed and what was not. While the other estimates were eager to make the most of our service call, John suggested getting a layer placed over the original roof at a less expensive cost to us. He also advised it would probably last about seven to ten years. Additionally, while other contractors tried selling us high end siding (cedar), John explained that while cedar would look nice, it comes with a lot of maintenance and in reality, the neighborhood tended towards vinyl. Again, he could have talked us into a more expensive choice, especially since my taste and budget is not always in sync, however, he did not. He steered us towards the more economical choice. Our layover roof lasted 19 years without even one leak! That’s great craftmanship. And my siding looks as new as it did when we first had it applied. This summer when I decided to replace the roof in its entirety, I called upon John to do the job. Again, he came out and explained all the options. He does not attempt to sell the best product as many contractors do. Rather, he listened to what I wanted and steered me towards a mid-range quality roof with the architectural shingles I desired, while working within my budget. I highly recommend EDI as they are an honest, trustworthy business who provides quality work. I give them an A+. Thanks, John Gallagher, for another wonderful home improvement experience!!!"

Stucco repair can take an hour or two if it's a small crack repair or window caulking job. Stucco that looks or feels damp several days after rain, has discolored patches, soft spots, or other issues, may have moisture problems and need professional repair. You may also find that the drywall inside your home, below windows, feels soft. This indicates moisture behind the stucco, damaging your home's walls from the outside in.
You should inspect your stucco at least twice a year to identify any early signs of damage. Regular evaluations allow you to catch issues such as small cracks, discoloration, or moisture buildup before they escalate into extensive repairs. Consistent monitoring ensures that your home’s exterior remains in top condition, saving money on more costly repairs later.
The process for repairing stucco damage begins with the removal of all loose and crumbling material, followed by a thorough cleaning of the area. After dampening the surface and applying a bonding agent, new stucco is applied in layered coats with sufficient curing time between each layer, and the final texture is matched to the surrounding surface. This method restores both the appearance and protection of your exterior.
