"The customer service started when I was in search for a Roofing Company and I spoke to Mr Barry Adams’s we both missed the timing and I went with another Company as my matter was urgent and it was a few days before Christmas. But there was something about his delivery he was very professional very patient very detailed it was flawless and exceptional his professionalism stayed with me and I kept his company number. Unfortunately the first Company did not work out they did not deliver as plan let’s just say that. So I’m back again to get this work completed I had the pleasure of speaking to Jen who was very sweet and kind I missed my appointment due to a same day meeting at work which I felt bad but she was graceful and kind. "WORST SERVICE ON THE MARKET. THIS COMPANY LEFT MY GRANDMOTHER $14k in DEBT, after recommending top teir gutters. The gutters were NOT needed. Not only did the company install the gutters poorly, they do not work. They do not work because she needs a roof, not new gutters. This horrible company recommended $14k gutters when a ROOF was needed. Now she will have to take down the gutters, and put up a new roof. KICKER - they fell into her garage door and left it damaged/non-functioning. DO NOT ..... I REPEAT ..... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. You can see in the pictures below how gutters should never have been installed on this house. Also can see how they do not work (icicles behind). Imagien $14k for gutters that do not work. RUN from Home Genius. Their response a week later: Ambrose Powell 1:45 PM (53 minutes ago) to Jeff, me, Austin, Victoria Bill, I respect that you are a busy person and that is exactly why I gave you a multitude of options for a scheduled phone call. After you agreed to talk at 9:30am I called you exactly at that time, you did not call me back until 11:50am in which you apologized for missing my call and told me you appreciated with me sticking with it. I too am a busy person and scheduled phone calls with other customers as well as additional meetings when you gave me the agreement of 9:30am. "My wife and I found out about Cherry Roofing and Siding from our son-in-law Mike Clyburn who is a job planner for Cherry. He set up the visit with the sales rep and ordered the materials for the job. We were visited by the sales rep Mike Schmidt. He inspected the current roof and estimated the work to be done. The roof on the house and the garage were to be replaced (20 square) along with downspout work on the garage. He spent a lot of time explaining the techniques, materials, and timing to complete the job. The crew headed by Mike Kane came the day of the job. They were efficient, their work top notch and left the jobsite as clean as they found it. All the work was completed as expected in one day. The gutter and downspout work were completed in about 1 hour the next day. I have included 2 pics of the finished job. A slate roof is made of thin, even slices of natural slate stone laid over the roof frame and base layer. Slate is a hard, durable rock formed over millions of years from clay and volcanic ash under extreme pressure deep within the earth. It offers a high-end natural look that's energy-efficient and provides a good return on investment. However, a slate roof is considerably more expensive than many other options. It's extremely heavy, may require structural reinforcement, and is complicated to install. Although it is strong, the tiles can crack with impact damage.
Real slate comes from natural stone. Synthetic slate comes from various sources made to look like slate. For either hard or soft natural stone, expect to pay $10 to $30 per square foot, each of which will last 50 to 200 years. If you choose synthetic slate, budget $10 to $15 per square foot. These options will last 20 to 50 years.
Slate roofs last for decades when properly maintained, with natural slate enduring from 50 to 200 years. Hard slate lasts 100 to 200 years, soft slate lasts 50 to 125 years, and synthetic slate lasts 50 to 100 years. The support structure and fixings often require replacement before the slate tiles themselves. Extreme weather, such as tornadoes and hail, reduces the overall lifespan of the roof.
Slate roofs are a valuable investment that boost property appeal and resale value. You receive an ROI of 60% to 70% when installing a slate roof. This roofing material is environmentally responsible because it is natural and lasts up to 200 years, keeping replacement waste to a minimum.
