"Not only did he fix my immediate problem post hurricane, he identified work previously done that was hazardous and work that I paid for and was TOLD was completed that was not. He came out on a weekend, the job took 2 hours longer than expected and he still charged me quoted price, which was much lower than any other quote I previously received. Absolutely the only electrician I will use going forward!"

"We had 5 different projects and Master was able to do all of them at a reasonable price. They agreed to come back at no additional charge to install the fixtures for the 5th project that we had to return and reorder. And they did - they came back and completed the work within a few days after the fixtures arrived. Great guys. Professional work. Would definitely use again."

"Edgar called within a half hour of posting my need. He was at the house as soon as he finished the job he was on. AND this was New Years Eve day! He quoted a price over the phone and it was very reasonable. He completed the work in half an hour and left. Within 5 minutes of his leaving, the noise happened again. I called him, he was back, and worked another half hour on a very mysterious issue. He trouble shot everything and finally found the problem and it was not associated with what we thought it was at all. He didn't charge us for coming back although we tipped him a little extra. We have found a new electrician. Thank you Edgar!"

"They are prompt, courteous, I had 16 recessed lights installed 2 switches and a plug. I received a couple other quotes that were almost double the cost. Rodriguez Electric will be on my speed dial for all my electrical needs."

A truly skilled, well-equipped professional with a truck full of parts that charges $100 an hour can be a much wiser choice than an inexperienced hack, working with inadequate tools and no parts, but charging much less. Often, more experienced professionals get the job done quickly with warrantied work.
2. Compare Travel ChargesRates reflect travel times. Travel charges can have a big impact on your costs and are in some ways easier to compare than hourly rates. Many electricians spend a third or more of their time navigating traffic on their way to a jobsite. Every contractor must find a way to pay for the expense of driving each day.
3. Bundle Repair Jobs TogetherWhen you feel it’s time to call a pro, review your list and then conduct a mini-inspection of your home. Look for faulty switches and dysfunctional or crowded outlets. When the electrician comes, you’ll save money and time by getting everything taken care of at once.
4. How to Prepare & What to Know Before the Electrician ArrivesHouston Electricians are rated 4.8 out of 5 based on 3036 reviews of 3036 pros.
