"McMurray Builders did a wonderful job replacing the steps up to my deck so that I can get in and out easier. They were quick to get back to me when I reached out and got right out to get the job done, I will definitely be calling them again."

"Gerome's middle initial should be "P" for Perseverance. He unfortunately had a subcontractor whose quality of workmanship was not up to his (or our) standard and was not completed per time commitment. Gerome removed the subcontractor from the job and found excellent workers to complete the task. It took longer than anticipated but if the old saying is true "the end justifies the means", it was well worth waiting for. He did his best to make sure that we were not inconvenienced more than necessary - it was a kitchen remodel and being without electricity or water can definitely be termed an inconvenience. We could not be happier with the outcome and with Mr. Blackmon's fine service and commitment to the job."

You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
