"In all cases he put in what he wanted, and in all cases it was a lot cheaper and WITHOUT RECEIPTS . We were charged for the upgrades but did not get them (Refused to provide receipts,even when asked repeatedly (we have texts from him saying NO RECEIPTS, NO RECEIPTS! NO RECEIPTS!). They cut a huge hole in our garage ceiling for I have no reason why. Also one in the bathroom closet. Bought cheaper toilets than the ones we chose. Became very annoyed with my wife, said he would return them but didn't and installed them anyway. This we know because they still had the identifying sticker still on it. They put the wrong flooring in. We picked one that would match the existing hallway floor. It was an upgrade so we were charged more money and they put in the cheap floor anyway. The bathroom tub was supposed to be a nice tub to go with the expensive tiles we picked. They put in the cheapest tub they could buy and refused to take it out. They then put non slip silicone strips on the bottom that makes it look even cheaper. We came to find that the reason for the strips was to hide a chip that was there. They were repeatedly told we wanted SLIDING shower doors. They purchased the cheapest one they could find with a door that opens out. We asked for power flush jet toilets. They purchased watersense toilets, got mad when we told them it was not what we wanted. Finally said they would return them but put them in anyway. They left the water sense sticker on them is how we were sure. . There were cabinets put in without spacing and as a result the doors and drawers wouldn't open without scraping against the one beside it. We had to replace and buy new ones. The countertop was installed without having a plumber come in beforehand and set up the drain, so now installation of a garbage disposal is impossible without removing the countertops and cabinets. In both bathrooms, the wall niches have mostly gray and dirty white half inch thick threshold pieces to box them out (our bath is brown based) that were cut short at the ends, then filled with gray grout as filler. They couldn't look more horrible. They were also asked to put in white grout to match the brown and white of the bathroom tiles. They put in gray. Towards the end, we asked for proof of license to contract along with receipts. They refused. We told them not to continue work until they could give us receipts and proof of license. The very next day, I came down to find workers there scrambling to finish the job they had so far taken them two months to do. We received numerous and lengthy text messages from them cursing us out, accusing us of sexual impropriety and calling us foul names until we finally had to called the police. Succinctly, this company and the persons we dealt with, Perry Panaccio and his brother Al Panaccio, are a nightmare and not people you ever want have do anything for you! I am seriously considering suing, which I have never done...it is that bad!"

They did our porch and walkway a couple years back and we were so impressed with the workmanship and the outcome of that project that when we decided to do our back patio I never considered another contractor. I called John and he came by to estimate the job and added a few ideas. His estimate came inline to what I expected. He worked with us throughout the project. These guys are very detailed and knowledgeable when it comes to stone work. Our home is an older stone house and they matched the stone perfectly. We had a 16’x22’ flagstone patio installed along with a walkway and three stone walls. It was a sizable project. His workers were amazing and very easy to work with. I cannot begin to tell you how many compliments we have received from our neighbors. We are extremely happy with the way it turned out. I will say these pictures don’t even begin to show how amazing this project turned out."

Throughout the process we have been struck by the craftsmanship, attention to detail, excellent level of communication and clear desire to make us happy (“we just want to see you smile”) that we have experienced. The design process was easy – our designer asked pertinent questions that helped us hone our visions and thoughts into reality. "Aspire did 2 projects for us. The first was to completely gut the master bath, change the layout of the master bath/master bedroom, install new tile/shower/fixtures/closet in the master bath, install new closets in the master bedroom, install cabinets in the closets, upgrade the baseboard heating, and paint both rooms. Michael did a great job. The plumbing and tile work in the bathroom was very high quality. The carpentry and painting in the bedroom was also high quality and all looks very nice. Based on this work we hired Aspire to remodel our second bathroom. This project included tearing out existing tile, plumbing, and fixtures and replacing with new and also applying a final paint job. This project was done with similar high quality and looks very nice. Overall, Michael did a great job and managed all the contractors making sure they also did quality work in a timely manner. Michael was also flexible to incorporate changes that came up in the course of the jobs and gave reasonable prices for the changes. Michael was a pleasure to work with and I would recommend him for other projects."

For attached garages, the proximity to your living space may cause some disruption during construction.
To make your garage livable, at a minimum, you need to insulate the walls, add in legally required egress windows, install flooring, put up drywall, and add in air conditioning and heating. The converted garage must be attached to your home and include permanent features like proper insulation, finished walls and ceilings, and adequate ventilation. It should be suitable for year-round living, with heating and cooling systems to maintain comfortable temperatures in all seasons. Meeting these standards allows the converted space to be included in your home's total square footage, potentially increasing its value.
In most cases, you do not need to hire an architect for a garage conversion. An experienced garage conversion contractor usually has the skills to help create your desired design and ensure the project meets building codes. However, if your conversion involves complex structural changes or a large-scale redesign, hiring an architect can be beneficial. An architect can provide detailed plans and oversee the design to maximize space and functionality, ensuring the conversion aligns with your vision and complies with all regulations.
