"Disaster from Start to Finish ? Find Another Company! If you?re considering hiring PSB Home Solutions, do yourself a favor & run the other way. I hired them for a turf/ putting green installation, results were beyond disappointing. 2 independent companies, vetted by the turf manufacturer Rymar, confirmed that everything needs to be redone from scratch. Here?s what went wrong: The putting green supposed to be 575 sq ft; they installed less than 200 sq ft. No silica sand, though billed for it. No seam tape or glue was used; seams are separating. The turf was installed backwards, causing a patchy appearance. Damaged my landscape lighting & internet wiring. After claiming repairs, nothing worked and had to hire a licensed electrician at my cost. Even the turf manufacturer was appalled by the work & offered to comp the materials. Owner made promises to return, missed 3 appointments, then ghosted me. PSB cuts corners, caused damage, misrepresents their work abandons job. Run Away!"

We grow many of the beautiful palms, colorful shrubs, trees and Orchids we use in our designs. "Shelly came to look over our landscaping and give us a budget to redesign and install new landscaping. She was very condescending, making insulting comments about the existing pavers and landscaping. I asked where she would ballpark our job. She said over $100,000. We have a 3000 s.f. house on probably 1/8 acre lot. Smallish. I was floored by her estimate and her attitude about our home, which looks the same as the other 25 homes in my subdivision. And they all are well kept and look good. Also, they all look the same, so I have no idea why she thought I would/could change the look of my pavers and driveway when every house she drove by on the way in looks exactly the same. Maybe she quoted that high of a number because she didn't want the job. But no need to be insulting. I texted her to tell her we're going in a different direction because her budget was too high, and she never responded. Seemed like a bother for her to come here and she thought she was above the neighborhood. I don't recommend talking to her."

Aeration is the best way to keep your lawn healthy and vibrant. Annual aeration makes your lawn more breathable and helps nutrients reach the roots, improving water absorption and reducing puddles where pests might breed. However, timing matters. It's best to avoid aerating during droughts, extreme heat, or if your lawn is battling weeds. A local pro can help you determine the ideal time for your yard.
Most lawns benefit from annual aeration to keep them healthy and thriving. If your lawn has a lot of thatch buildup—more than half an inch—you might need to aerate twice a year for a couple of years to get it under control. But if your soil isn't compacted and there's minimal thatch, you might be able to skip a year.
When you hire a professional lawn care company, a standard 10,000-square-foot lawn takes about 30 minutes to aerate. Uneven, sloped, or especially large lawns can take significantly more time. So, depending on your lawn's size and condition, the process can take anywhere from half an hour to several hours.
The best time to aerate your lawn is during the spring or fall when your grass is actively growing and the soil has enough moisture. Aerating once in the spring and once in the fall yields the best results. Avoid aerating when your lawn is dormant or right after heavy rain when the soil is too wet—that can make aeration less effective.
Even if your lawn looks healthy, aeration can still be beneficial. If you have good growth, proper drainage, and little thatch, you might not need to aerate right away. Regular aeration helps water and nutrients reach the roots, keeping your lawn strong over time. Keep an eye on your lawn's condition to decide when it might need aeration.
