"Bill was willing to install a heat pump system that I purchased, even though his default was Bosch. His son and helper did the install over two days. It was getting late when they finished and the unit worked, although it whistled. I let Bill McGinley know but couldn't get them to come out to resolve the problem for over a week. Bill figured out that air was being sucked in between the top bottom front panels on the ACIQ central unit and did a workaround -- taping over it. The manufacturer ACIQ was no help in acknowledging that there was a problem with their product. I made a mistake paying on the basis of the quote rather then requiring an invoice. When I tried to apply for the NHSaves rebate, they wanted an invoice. Bill was not very responsive in sending me the invoice. He did when I told him NHSaves would be contacting him. But he was very accommodating in doing the work i wanted done instead of doing what he was used to doing."

"Jim is local.  It went great. Jim Ferrell is a professional of the highest caliber. Responded quickly, took care of my problems, and advised me as to better means of protection than I had. He came back a second time to uninstall software that I purchased that did not provide adequate protections and installed free software that would do the job.  He did the work through remote connection, but is available on site if necessary.
For those people needing help on getting red of malware, viruses , etc. on your computer,  Jim is local, better than all thse remote out of state location providers, is a mature, highly trained professional in this area.
If you go to local computer stores you get very young people that can do a basic job, but are no where near the professional level of Jim.
I highly recommend Jim to anyone that needs these type services.

"As a mechanical engineer, I can be an HVAC professionals worst nightmare. In particular, I question everything and need to verify everything. Case in point, I got 5 quotes for installing central A/C into my two story home when most people would go with 3. I can also be tough to convince if something is done that does not make sense and I am very particular about the service I am getting. So with that said, I have to say that the level of customer care, intelligent installation, quality of work, integrity and value for money that I received from McGinley and Son's was unsurpassed and just outstanding. Bill McGinley was a pleasure to work with. He gave me an exceptionally fair and competitive quote, always kept me up-to-date on things and went above and beyond call when, during mid-installation, I decided to change from straight A/C to a heat pump. He also offered some very good advice on SEER values (I know...because I validated the savings) when he could have tried to swing me into a more expensive unit. Mike McGinley (the son) did a very smart and clean installation job. The way he approached the job just made sense and how he laid out the duct work in the basement was actually pretty cool (no pun intended). The rest of the crew was also very nice and they did work hard (no complaints about being in a hot attic moving blown in insulation around to get the job done....I would have expected a few choice words from doing that disgusting job but they were professional). They showed up every day at the same time...you could set your clock by them. "Gil was very professional and he took a lot of pride in his work. He did not take any corner when faced with problems and he made sure everything was done correctly and to code. Gil gave a reasonable quote after inspecting our old system to replace with a new heat pump. Installation were delayed due to personal issues but when we really needed heating once the temperature were dropping, he made it his priority to finish it. During installation there were issues with the old duct work which made the work more difficult. He didn't upcharge us at all to fix it. We very much appreciated in working with him and would gladly repeat doing business."

"Everything went wonderfully with this company.  They were very professional, listened to exactly what my problem was, and explained to me how they were going to diagnose the problem and/or solve it before doing any actual work.  Once they started, the team (three people came) worked together like a well-oiled machine.  One was in the room with diagnostics, one was at the fuse box looking for possible problems there, and the third went into the crawlspace beneath our house to look at the physical wiring.  Once the problem was found (there was a faulty wire beneath the house that had come loose from the junction box), it was fixed and tested within minutes and another full diagnostic was done to make sure there were no other possible issues.  They cleaned up after themselves very neatly.  They also replaced the light switch with a dimmer switch at no extra cost!  Well within my budget, and came in even lower than their original (FREE) estimate!  I would highly recommend this company to anyone in the Bergen County area.
