He actually explained that we could probably handle the repair ourselves if we were up for it, instead of paying him or someone else. He then walked us through every step in detail and made sure we were comfortable with the directions. So in the end, it cost us $0 in labor and only a small amount for materials, and really demonstrated AJ's integrity and generosity!"

"We could not be happier having hired Joe for a huge job. Our basement was a mess of 60 year old cast iron and a hodge-podge of repairs done by various prior owners. While other companies came out and told us what a nightmare the job would be and quoted us in the $5000 range, Joe calmly assessed what needed to be done, came up with plan and estimated half the cost. He removed every drain line in our home, sinks, tub and toilet, replaced everything with PVC and tied it in logically to the outgoing sewer line. He made sure that all his work was up to code and that we understood each step he was undertaking. He also ran a hot water line so we could install a dishwasher and put a new shutoff on our incoming water service when he notice that ours was in danger of failing. Joe did all the work himself in a single day, checking with us any time he felt we needed to be informed of what he was doing and why. He was punctual, professional and precise. We were also pleasantly surprised when his office called a week later just to be sure things were operating properly and that we were satisfied with the work. That kind of customer service and attention to detail even after the fact is quite rare these days. We look forward to working with Joe again for any plumbing needs we have. "Highly NOT Recommended! I have used Delaware Plumbing Professionals more than once. The first time, although not inexpensive, the job was done well. The second time, I called them to diagnose a problem with my sump pump. The pump was only one year old and was malfunctioning. I was told that, since they didn’t install the pump, the only option they could offer was to install a brand-new pump, which would cost around $2,000. I said, "Thank you," paid $65 for the visit, and that was it. The pump was later fixed with a simple tweak. Today, I called them for the third time to look at a leaking shower and a leaking garbage disposal. I was informed that to change the leaking gasket at the top of the disposal, they would charge me the price of a full disposal replacement, which is over $450, for less than one hour worth of work (I asked). As for the leaking shower, even though I clearly identified the leaking plunger (a $20 part), I was told they couldn’t address it and could only offer a replacement of the entire shower valve inside the wall, which I assume would be a job costing a few thousand dollars. Wasted another $65 for their useless visit."

"Repair Service to Fix Gas Boiler - WM Henderson first sends out a tech who is not familiar with gas boilers and admits there is an issue but does not know how to diagnose it. I had to pay $89 for this. Instead of having the right person come out, I had to to actively call again to get someone else to come out. The 2nd tech diagnosed the issue, but wants to charge me the same $89 that I already paid. - and quotes me $380 for the repair - and has to order the part. I agree and then call back the next day to confirm part is on order - and they tell me the charge is $1,015. I asked to speak to a manager to discuss, and no one is available and no one calls me back. I bought the replacement part from a supply where house (confirming it works with my make/model of boiler) and it cost me $165. I have had other scheduling issues with them as well. Don't use them!!!!!!!!"
