"I do not usually give bad reviews but greenway was very poor with their service and was way overpriced. I hired Greenway for a side yard work. The job was to install two sets of steps with stones and install ground covers and optimize the existing irrigation at my home. There were two medium-sized pine trees that I wanted to be removed. The quote they gave had over $2500 just to cut the two trees leaving the stumps behind. I requested them to take that item off the request. I could have this done for less than $400 with another company. In hindsight I should have backed off and not allowed them to work on my yard at all. That was a clue to how overpriced they were. However, we decided to give them a chance. They finished the work fast, but had to redo the steps with stone because the steps started coming off within 2 days Initially they had this done by a subcontractor. Greenway redid it because it was that bad and unsafe to walk on. The rest of the work was mediocre at best, and way overpriced for what they did. I just want to share my experience so that others do not fall for the 30years of experience that this company boasts. I have to say that the owners and the workers were very professional and friendly throughout the project which earns them 3 stars."

"Completely ruined my grass and killed my existing roses. They sprayed weed killer everywhere and we’re not careful. We have had 3 landscapers come out to our house who all said the work was awful. Within 3 days, weeds were already growing through the DG they put out. They did not flatten and ensure the DG was solid. They just laid out sand and was sloppy. They planted the plants I purchased and didn’t use the soil I purchased. When I approach them, it was someone that was hired that day who was out of work who told me he doesn’t normally do this and doesn’t know what he’s doing. Well, the plants I purchased all died. They also messed up my irrigation. Everything needs to be redone."

They took away old dried up grass, re-leveled the area, installed a mesh under the grass to prevent more gophers from making holes, and installed new Marathon. It looks great! Joe and his team were very professional, and completed the work in the time they said they would. Joe cares a lot regarding the quality of the job and has excellent communication. He is both knowledgeable and friendly. When they came in we were still ruffled from a prior difficult experience with a hardscape company, and Joe and his team helped put us to ease. Aeration is the best way to keep your lawn healthy and vibrant. Annual aeration makes your lawn more breathable and helps nutrients reach the roots, improving water absorption and reducing puddles where pests might breed. However, timing matters. It's best to avoid aerating during droughts, extreme heat, or if your lawn is battling weeds. A local pro can help you determine the ideal time for your yard.
Most lawns benefit from annual aeration to keep them healthy and thriving. Aerating once in the spring and once in the fall yields the best results. Even if your lawn looks healthy, aeration can still be beneficial. If you have good growth, proper drainage, and little thatch, you might not need to aerate right away.
