"The torsion spring in my roll-up overhead garage door snapped and broke with a horrific sound when I closed the door this morning. I searched the internet for a local garage door repair company, and came across this one. It appeared to have received good reviews. So I called for service late in the morning, explained the situation, and was immediately given a timeframe the same day in which to expect someone to come out to my house. Within two hours had a serviceman at my door. I have NEVER had such PROMPT and COURTEOUS service from any contractor or tradesman (plumber, carpenter, etc.) for any home project in the past. Within a few minutes of arrival, the problem was completely diagnosed, and solutions provided, along with cost estimates. The entire repair took a little over one hour, which in itself was amazing given all the work required. I also thought the total cost was reasonable for all the replacement parts provided and work performed. I would highly recommend this company to anyone in need of garage door repairs in South Orange County, California. I contacted Metal Garage door on a Tuesday, received a quote on Wednesday, and had the garage door installed on Thursday.  The door, which is made by Unique Garage Door, is extremely high quality and looks great.  The price matched that I received from another company, though I believe the quality of the door to be higher.

The installers did a great job on the door, which opens and shuts smoothly.  They also installed two new pieces of 2x4 along the sides of the door that go in front of the door to help secure it and seal the sides.

I only have two fairly small nitpicks with the service:

The first is that I had to request an invoice and was not sent one before I made the request, which was about a week after the installation. 

The second is that one of the two 2x4 pieces of wood bends towards the middle of the door slightly (about 1") at the bottom because another piece of wood they replaced was not cut properly to fit the existing framing of the house.  I spoke with Metal Garage door about this and they sent someone out to look at it who took pictures but seemed reluctant to actually have it fixed (it has not been fixed).  It isn't noticeable if you don't know it is there, but once noticed it remains a small detraction from an otherwise excellent door.
