"The salesman missed the first appointment scheduled for 10:00 April 23 - received call from officie at 9:10 He had emergency.scheduled next appointment for April 28 at 10:00 and salesman showed  20 minutes late. He got stuck in traffic.
Salesman was very honest about the deal I had purchased the 6 landscaping lights for $649. I could take the deal but I would be calling again to add additional lights. His ideas were right on and what type of lights and where to put them. The job was scheduled for May 6 and it would take 2 days. They called to say they could come out earlier and they did and installed all of the lights in a day and a half. The lights look great and one of the lights went out just a few weeks ago and I called and they were out the next day. There is a 5 year warranty on the lights.

"Very responsive, a professional and very pleasant mechanic, excellent work, a bit exspensive, over $500.00 for 5plugs. The problem is they failed to fix the plug that was dead and failed to investigate or repair the flickering lights. I still have no idea if there is a fire hazard due to an electrical short. They did not appear to have any interest in dealing with the issue. Bottom line: I now have to hire another electrician. I originally chose Palmer because they are local, were very responsive to my inquiry and had an excellent rep per Angie's List. It is unclear to me why they were unwilling to complete the job. In any event, they failed me. I will identify and retain another electrician, just not through Angie's List . They failed me as well."

"Asa was fantastic!! He was punctual and professional. He didn't waste one minute of his time. His finished list of repairs was much larger than my initial list. After finishing one project, he went on to another and found other projects between tasks. He made excellent use of his time ensuring to prioritize and get approval along the way. He's not limited in the type of work he can perform... He's a carpenter who has creative ways of completing seemingly difficult tasks. I am 100% satisfied with the work and will hire him again. He went to Home Depot and purchased the bulbs and installed them.  It was worth it, because I was trying desperately to find out what kind of bulb fit the Hood.  Finally, PHX came to the rescue.  Even the store that I bought the hood from gave me the run around for months (Home Depot) telling me that it takes a 60 watt bulb.

"This builder was the best contracted service that we ever got.
We had put in for a permit to install a "retractable awning" over our deck and were very disappointed when it was turned down by the Planning committee. Little did we know then that that was the best thing that could have happened.
We then learned that we could put up a permanent roof over the deck,  We went to "Angies list" and read the reviews of the various contractors and once that was done, we contacted Marshall Painter of Great American Log Homes  and he came the same day and looked at the project and brought us a drawing and a price the next day.
Actually his price was not that much more for a permanent roof than what other companies wanted for a "roll out awning", and it was custom built to fit and match the deck.
The work was professional, on time, and the price was very reasonable .
We are very pleased with the way it turned out, and feel lucky to have chosen the right man for the job.
Not only is Marshall an excellent and honest builder, he turned out to be a wonderful friend too.

"He was not able to fix the light fixture, but he took it down so that I could take it to a lamp shop.  He changed the outlet, which didn't need to be fixed necessarily and placed the boxes in upside dow.  The dimming controls works opposite. When the light increases, the dim switch slides down instead of up. Simple things, that could have been done the correct way.
