"Groundworks were contracted to encapsulate the crawl space, with a dehumidifier, intellijacks & sump pump. The inspector showed us pictures & videos of what the work would look like on completion, & explained how each solution would be installed. They tried to charge me more for vent covers until I showed them the contract covering this part. The foreman told me there was a reset button for the sump pump to be installed on an exterior wall, but they did not install it, instead said they would put in a service order. I haven’t heard anything about this issue yet. When they installed the moister barrier, they excluded the cement pads I was told it cost extra to have them covered. When I signed the contract, I was never told there would be extra charges for vent covers or cement pads to be covered. The contract I signed covered a complete encapsulation, but this is not what I got. This is a bait & switch. I would not recommend Groundworks."

When work was done, they honored their quoted price. For my project they did not ask for any payment upfront, just payment in full upon completion to my satisfaction. They do take other payment methods but prefer cash so I suggest you ask about your payment options upfront. For the whole process, this company was great to work with. "We are on the lake and have a hard time when the city raises the lake and there is weather. We decided to build a stone wall to contain our garden area from being eroded every year. Jessie met me at the Stone quarry, where I picked the stone and he promptly came with his crew and constructed it by hand. They also set a metal gate I had picked out and back filled additional soil. The overall finished product was very effective and he even returned the following year to shore up one part of the dirt by back filling with gravel to help the weather erosion for no extra cost. They went above and beyond in my opinion."
