"We hired David to insulate, drywall and paint our 3 car garage. Highly recommended and best decision we made. David did an outstanding job. I wouldn?t hesitate to hire him again for any future work on our home. Other than his attention detail and professionalism, he is an all around nice guy. Showed up on time every day and did not hesitate to keep us informed or ask for our opinion when options arose. He went above and beyond to make our garage project successful. He noticed that our garage door tracks were a out of alignment and made adjustments to correct the poor tracking when they opened and closed. This wasn?t part of the job but he took care of it anyway. I had planned to install slat wall panels myself in multiple places around the garage after David was finished. However, I decided to ask David if he had time to do it instead of me. He adjusted his schedule to accommodate my request by adding the installation of the slat wall panels to the job. Our garage is now a place of beauty. We could not be happier in the way it turned out and our decision to hire A&L Home Remodeling."

I patched most of them but working all day as an essential worker and working on my mother's house all night for a month became difficult. I called Patch Pros Plus and Ron was kind and empathetic. I thought because of the holidays they would not have time for me, but he set up a time to assess the walls and came up with a price right away. They were finished in a day and a half! If you're looking for superior protection and a finish that lasts, standard drywall may be the better option for your walls and ceilings.
Professionally installed drywall lasts between 40 and 60 years. Drywall longevity depends on installation quality, maintenance practices, and environmental conditions. High-quality work combined with proper care ensures that drywall performs reliably for decades. Factors such as moisture, fire exposure, and physical damage can affect its lifespan, so regular inspections and timely repairs are essential for extending durability.
You don't need a permit to replace drywall if you're just swapping out old panels without making any structural changes. If you're keeping the wall positions the same and not moving any electrical or plumbing, you can go ahead without a permit. However, if your project involves adding or removing walls or altering the home's infrastructure, you'll likely need to get a permit, which can add $50 to $150 to your costs. It's always a good idea to check with your local building department to make sure you're following the rules.
