We understand what is required as our knowledge stems from operating previous swimming pool businesses that consisted of 1000+ weekly clients that were backed up by a service/repair department and several retail pool and spa stores. Our journey started from scratch and we found success through the years because we quickly figured out the formula of treating our clients and their pools properly. While those businesses were recently sold, it has enabled our family to begin the 'next phase' here in the Treasure Valley. "BEWARE. We hired Mike to replace a deck which he said he could complete in 2 months. Mike went MIA for two months with the deck unfinished, not level, and buckling. After over 9 months, with the deck still incomplete and well below industry standards, we agreed that Mike would dismantle what he completed so that a competent contractor could build it correctly. Unfortunately, in addition to sloppy workmanship, Mike cut an electrical line, covered an active water sprinkler, compromised another structure in the process, left electrical supplies exposed to weather which ruined them, and left many of the new deck boards with holes, screws and nails sticking out. To this day, Mike refuses to return any of the money he was paid."

"Bathroom remodel: the backsplash was put on with the front facing side against the wall. I had to reorder more and tell them how to do it. Tile installed on floor and shower. Told me to order the wrong amount. I had to reorder more which came from a different batch and didn’t match exactly. Approximately 4 years after remodel the grout started failing. I now have many places with no grout and it’s getting worse. I can’t even find anyone who is willing to fix the mess they created. I highly recommend anyone to find another contractor for any work needed. Terrible work"

While more serious repairs should be left to the professionals, routine tasks like skimming your pool to remove debris or checking the pH are tasks that can be accomplished on your own.
The lifespan of your pool is determined by its construction and materials. In-ground concrete pools offer a lifespan of 50 years. Fiberglass pools deliver over 30 years of service. Vinyl-lined pools have a 20-year lifespan with a required liner replacement every six to 12 years. Above-ground pools typically offer a lifespan of eight to 15 years.
It’s best practice to drain and refill the pool every three to five years to maintain the water's purity and flush out accumulated solids. Avoid draining the pool completely, as this can damage the structure. If you're not experienced in pool drainage, it's best to have a pool professional handle the process to protect both your pool and its surroundings.
