"Nice guy... but, the quality of work was not good. Not all his fault but I will hire a painter to re-do."

"I wanted to give them a great review, the owner is extremely friendly and patient and had fair prices. They were going to redo my paved patio and install front landscaping. I was away for work when they installed landscaping, I was told about the pavers for edging they were going to use. But when I came home, I saw that the just used leftover bricks from the patio. They put one with a huge rust stain right in front that looked terrible and one brick was cracked on the side part of edging. I Ended up Removing the edging all together and redid it myself with different edging. ( I was also supposed to have bright fuchsia-colored lilies and I had dark red.) Also, the entire outer row of bricks on my patio came loose. The owner called back and sent someone to fix it without any issue. It is ok now but they used yellowish sand when they came back to fix it and the other sand is gray. It is noticeably different, when I removed the patio rug there is a huge line of the hardened sand on the concrete that I cannot seem to get all of it out just yet. The owner also told me he would get me a specific ground cover for a portion of the landscape, and he never did. I was very excited when I hired them and had high hopes that my outside would finally look like it should. While it looks better than it originally did, I feel like they tried to cut some corners on this project that ended up costing me more afterward. I just wish they would have put a little more care into it and really made it a quality work."

"I found Sammson concrete on Angie's list and gave them a call. I was called back in less than an hour by the owner, Steve. I explained what I wanted and he provided some useful information about the codes specific to where I live. He came out, had a look, and provided me an estimate by the end of the first day. Steve said I may need to wait up to two weeks depending on the weather, for an opening. One of his staff called back the next day, however, and said there was an unexpected opening and could they install my patio the following day. I said yes. The next morning, Brian, Steve's son, Steve, and about 5 other workers arrived. They were careful not to tear up my existing landscaping by putting down plywood anywhere they needed to walk on grass. They were quick and efficient. They tore out my old walkway, dug out the area, put in gravel and then poured the concrete. They completed the project in about 4 hours and then cleaned up so well you couldn't tell they were there. Very impressive! From start to finish, I felt like they were treating me like I was spending tens of thousands of dollars when in fact it was just a small patio. I highly recommend Sammson Concrete to anyone looking for concrete patios."

"When we bought this house we were planning to renovate the basement. The previous owner had represented that it had never taken on water. The first weekend we were here, however, a torrential rainstorm caused the basement to flood. We realized we needed to waterproof it before we could do anything else, and decided that drain tiling was the safest way to go.
Greg was phenomenally responsive from the start. He was very clear about what needed to be done and how they would do it. He also described some optional work but was explicit that it was optional and if it didn't fit within our budget that was that, and he wasn't going to push it the slightest bit. His quote blew away the bigger, well-known firm and was less than or on a par with some others. He also agreed to demo the walls for a slight extra charge, which otherwise would have been a huge convenience for us. Between then and the start of work I emailed him repeatedly with various questions and he responded almost instantly. When his workers took down the paneling we got the unpleasant news that we had huge cracks in the walls that would need to be tuckpointed and in one area a big chunk of foundation was jutting from the wall. That section of the foundation would need to be replaced and a support beam installed. We were more or less at Greg's mercy at this point -- we weren't going to halt work and bring in a series of guys to quote the tuckpointing & repair -- but Greg gave us an estimate of $2,600-$3,000. We can't know for sure, but suspect that this price was more than fair, and Greg stuck to it even though we think the work turned out to be more than they expected.
The project manager, Jim, was fantastic to work with throughout, very communicative and accomodating, and the crew of five guys or so was extremely friendly and professional. All in all, A Perfect Crawlspace was a pleasure to work with and we could not be happier with the results.
