"Very professioinal & thorough - took his time explaining his product and services; showed examples - what would work and what wouldn't. I had to two other bidders but liked the presentations the best."

"One thing I have unfortunately learned from doing renovations in Miami is that it is very hard to find a good/reliable contractor. Mick and his team were incredible. Mick helped me from from beginning to end. He did the estimate himself, which was extremely clear and his prices were beyond fair. Mick answered every one of my annoying questions and was extremely responsive. Everything was done on time and done really well. I highly recommend you call Mick for your floors (and some other tile work as well). I love my floors!! Thank you so much!"

They took the time to ensure everything was perfectly leveled and aligned, which made a huge difference in the final result. The cabinets look amazing and truly transformed the space."

"Alex is very detail-oriented and goes the extra mile for customers. Alex came up with ideas that made the project better. For example, I felt I should fill in a sunken living room. Alex recommended I use white risers on the sunken living room, and instead use that money toward flooring for the whole downstairs. At the end, the sunken living looks beautiful and luxurious, and I was able to do the flooring for the whole home, making it much more uniform. Customer satisfaction is his priority."

Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
