"Everything went very smoothly. Work was completed expeditiously and exactly as agreed. The foreman Manny does beautiful work and manages his team well. The job site was left neat and clean at the end of each day, the workers respectful, and the results meticulous. Part of the job was straightforward: replacing stair treads, repointing brick, and pouring concrete. All was completed expertly. The other major part of the job was a complete rebuilding of a rough stone wall. Here's where Manny and the quality of the work really stood out to me. Not only was the rebuild was completed to spec (which included narrowing the footprint of the wall and patching the areas underneath), but the work was done with high attention to detail and taking the time and care to make the wall look as nice as possible. "We had Mr. Iglesias come out on 2 occasions for quotes (2 different scopes of work).  Both times, he arrived on time and was very informative and helpful.  Part of the work involved ripping up grass next to where the concrete was laid and ruined the grass.  He came back a few days later and seeded the grass and made sure to tell us how to care for it so that we would have lush grass again, and it worked great.  Within a month, there was no way to tell what had been ripped up and what was original grass.  The concrete itself was laid perfectly.  We had an issue with water run off due to the slope of the existing slab, but that was fixed and we've had no issues since.  He also made sure to round the edges on the steps so that our 2 year old would not hit sharp edges if he happened to fall, this was very important to me and he did exactly what I asked.  The rain and snow have not damaged the concrete at all and we're confident that it will look good for years to come.  We were very happy with the service we received and the job was done very well.

"The water issue was in a small unfinished corner of the basement after a very heavy rain and only once since we moved in without mold issues- but I decided to get French drains and mold treatment done anyways for the entire basement. Bob gave me a good estimate and then tried matching the lowest estimate I had gotten (his was the second lowest but I decided to go with him). The installation work went smoothly (planning to get the basement refinished soon from one of his contractors who was there for the job so he knows where everything goes back) . "Project Result: Excellent - far exceeded expectations.

Frank Fasolo arrived early for our appt for an estimate.  We discussed the nature of the project: to remove all visible traces of the inground koi pond - bring all of the area (which included a raised garden bed) to grade.  He gave me a ball park estimate of the cost and said the project would take about 3 days to complete.  He followed up with an email outlining what we discussed.
I made my decision to use Greenfield and emailed Frank.  We negotiated a bit,  made the date for the job to begin and the rest is history.
Frank arrived with his worker on a Saturday morning with two jack hammers and immediately began working.  The process he outlined worked flawlessly.  He knew exactly where to start. The cement walls of the pond were on average about 1'6" thick and the depth at its lowest is 4'6".  He started with the "hardest first" and proceeded around the pond where the structure changed to an all tiled platform, raised garden bed and a waterfall. The objective was to bring down the pond to grade (1'6") and then another 1-2 feet below grade to be filled with topsoil.  The debris was to be left in the pond.
There were a few unknowns that popped up - one example:  We knew that there was 'some' rebar but not to the extent we found once the work began.  We knew that there was a 275 gallon plastic drum filled with lava rock (for filtration) buried under the waterfall.  What we didn't know was that it was caged in steel and rebar!!  Unearthing the drum was probably one of the hardest parts of the project.  The steel/rebar was removed, the drum was cut to fold down on itself and then covered with debris.  The project did take 3 days to complete.
The final result is a beautifully restored area of my backyard that is now suitable for planting or a patio or a stone grill or nothing at all.  By the way the clean-up was better than the way it looked before the demolition.
Frank demonstrated great skill, experience and professionalism.  He was on site throughout the project and worked along side of his worker. 
I almost forgot - Frank not only laid and compacted the topsoil - he voluntarily fenced in the area so that my dogs wouldn't be able to dig in the dirt.
