  Comment: The water damage occurred in our first-floor condo unit when a kitchen leak on an identical floor plan third-floor unit flowed down. The third-floor occupant's insurance was acknowledged liability. During the incident, two or three holes were drilled into the ceiling to release trapped water. Water mitigation services have been completed. We have water damage in the ceiling and wall drywall of the kitchen, and kitchen-facing area of the main room. There is also probably water damage involving the kitchen lighting design. The engineered maple flooring buckled in several areas and warped pieces were removed from three rooms during mitigation. An obsolete intercom system was short-circuited by the leaking water and will have to be permanently disconnected. A drywall patch needs to be applied to where the intercom panel was located. There may be other issues revealed by more careful inspection.
