"We hired Andres Hernandez and his team to do a big job at our new townhome. He removed the popcorn ceilings in 2900 square feet of space. We were absolutely DELIGHTED with the results. His team came in and covered everything with plastic from top to bottom. Removing popcorn ceilings is a difficult and messy job but they were very organized and the project was completed to spectacular results. Andres is very detail oriented. He went over every inch to make sure all the ceilings were perfectly smooth. He also did some high painting work (20 feet) for us which was done extremely well.. My husband is very fussy and he was thrilled with the results. Can't really say enough good things . We can recommend him highly. You would be fortunate to have him do your job. "Andres and his team trimmed a very large tree that was growing over my power lines and my neighbor's as well. The tree needed significant work and they did an excellent job. Professional, timely, and the cleanup was thorough. I had been putting off this project for awhile, I am so glad I found Andres and would highly recommend."

"Tyler from Smooth Finish Drywall called me within an hour of posting my project. He stopped by to take a look and then completed the job right away after giving me an estimate! We had a piece of drywall that had been removed after a plumbing repair that needed replacing. He was kind, professional, and left the area cleaner then before he started the repair. I will definitely call on Tyler again for another project! Thank you Tyler and Angi.com!!"

"Steve, Greg and LouAnn were wonderful to work with and allowed me to make changes to my work proposal as I needed and wanted them to. Greg did an excellent job with all of the interior painting of walls and ceilings and all of the staining of the doors and trim. Never once did I doubt that I hired the right company for our undertaking!!"

Painters usually price a job by the square feet of the project. Sometimes they’ll include flat fees for fixed expenses, like overhead and permits.

Interior painting makes for a doable DIY project. You can save some money and get a real sense of accomplishment by doing this yourself. And, with the right prep work – covering, taping and scraping – it’s fairly forgiving. But it takes a lot of time to move furniture, tape trim, prep the surface and cover your floor, let alone apply the actual paint. Instead, save yourself the time and hassle and find a local interior painter.
Leave exterior painting to the pros. Not only do you need to worry about the type and quality of the paint, you’ll also likely need a ladder and considerably more prep work. You’ll likely need additional equipment like ladders, scaffolding and possibly a paint sprayer. It’s almost cheaper to just hire a pro. Talk to a local exterior house painter about your project.
