"We suspected we might have a mold issue. Gary came and advised testing indoor vs outdoor air, as that would be the most reliable way to determine whether there is a mold problem. He charged $450 for the service. Very friendly guy. He was very punctual and accommodating of my schedule."

"I would highly recommend David Robles, owner of Green Home Solutions to everyone that may be in need of their services. From my first conversation with David, to answering all my follow up questions he has been very knowledgable, informative, professional and very easy to work with. My mother has asthma and I was concerned that her basement might have mold since it always feels damp. When I spoke with David he offered to come look at the basement that day. As he looked around the basement and attic, he explained to us what he was finding and how the mold should be treated… David even suggested that we do some demo work in the basement to cut down on the cost of the mold remediation. The mold remediation treatment that David suggested was non-toxic which we were more comfortable with. The pre air test results showed my mother also had mold in her living area, which then led us to find black mold in her bedroom. Prior to the mold remediation for the bedroom being scheduled David sprayed the bedroom with a temporary treatment to possibly give my mother some relief with her asthma (there was no extra fee). David’s total fee for the basement and living area was less than 2 other estimates I had received just for the basement. David and his crew were very efficient, thorough and courteous. The insurance adjuster had to go back to my mother’s after the mold remediation and said he was impressed with how nicely the work was done. My many calls and emails were always returned immediately or within a short period of time, which was greatly appreciated. Most importantly ALL my questions were answered."

"Quick, efficient, good description of product. Definitely listened to our issue. However, more ficus put on resolving air issue than finding the root cause. We are happy with the units we purchased."

"They were quick and thorough and knowledgeable and tested air inside and out and then recommended mediation. They don’t do that so there’s no conflict of interest. They recommended a company but left it up to me."

"After calling in a panic with a foot of water in my basement, the owner and his staff came ASAP and vacuumed up the water, calmed us down, removed all the valuables like furniture, rugs and memorabilia to a safer place. They left dryers and fans in place 24 hours to prevent more damage from developing such as mold. They helped me maneuver my way through the insurance maze. My family and I were very grateful for the professionalism and compassion that was shown at such a stressful time."

"Working with Tom Homola on our Radon Gas Test, asbestos exam, and overall mold inspection and indoor air quality test on our prospective house was an easy and enjoyable process. Tom took the time to go through everything with us in detail, and gave us honest opinions on the set up of the house. We ended up buying the place and love it, and could do so with confidence thanks to Tom's tests and wonderful reassurance! Highly recommended!"

FAQs for indoor air quality testing projects in Monroe, CT

You should test your home's air quality if you or your family experience health problems like allergies or respiratory issues, as these could be linked to indoor contaminants. Also, consider testing if you're concerned about mold, radon, carbon monoxide, or if you've recently had home construction, demolition, excavation, or remodeling that could have released chemicals into your indoor air.

An indoor air quality test typically takes one to three hours to complete. After the inspection, you'll receive a detailed written report within two to 10 days. The evaluation includes comprehensive air sampling from all designated areas in your home. Your specialist will review the findings with you and provide clear guidance on steps to take if any issues are found, helping ensure your indoor environment meets health and safety standards.

A certified indoor air quality consultant or inspector is the right professional to perform your indoor air test. While some home inspectors have certifications, they often subcontract this specialized work to trained professionals with advanced tools. This expert will thoroughly evaluate air samples from every area in your home and clearly explain the findings to you. Be sure to confirm your tester's credentials before scheduling your service.
