"We cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Black Diamond Paver Stones & Landscape, Inc., our project manager Nick Miller, our foreman Raymundo and his wonderful hardworking crew/sons. It was very refreshing and relieving to find a company and individuals that we not only trust but do remarkable work. My wife and I were budgeting for a project to replace our back lawn (or what was left of it) with synthetic turf so that our young kids had a safe and clean play area. We received several quotes from other companies but ultimately chose Black Diamond because of Nick. From the first day we met Nick and throughout the entire project, Nick was easy to reach, professional, knowledgeable, and understanding when our toddlers were competing for attention (i.e., having meltdowns). At no point did Nick make us feel pressured or like we were being difficult (even when we probably were). He simply answered our questions, gave us recommendations, and ultimately let us choose what worked best for our needs. Raymundo and his team quickly began work after coming to an agreement on the scope of the project. Our project began relatively small but evolved once we saw the amazing quality of Raymundo’s work and included an expansion of our back lawn, mow strips (front and back), replacement of our front walkway, added steps with lights, and paver overlay of our front porch. The quality of Raymundo’s work is unparalleled to any other company we have worked with in the past. Aside from their knowledge and quality of their work, Nick and Raymundo both stand out from others because of their honesty and flexibility. They both went above and beyond our expectations and kept us involved and informed throughout the project. There were a few times during the project that they let me know of minor changes or issues. These were often so minor that I would not have even known or noticed but they were transparent, which allowed us to have a conversation and come to an agreement on next steps. There were many more times where we came to them with questions or changes and they were equally willing to have a conversation and accommodate us whenever possible. My wife and I could not be happier with the outcome of the work with Black Diamond, Nick, and Raymundo. We have already referred them to several family members and friends and will certainly be using them again for future projects."

"This company was contracted to trim my palm trees by PG&E. They did not notify me that they were coming and showed up and butchered my trees while I was at work. Had they notified me, I would have told them that there were protected falcons nesting in one palm, and great horned owls nesting in the other. Because of their negligence and the ignorance of the trimmer, the falcons lost their nest and habitat that they had lived in for years. Not only this, but the great horned owls lost their nest and habitat and I came home to find 2 dead baby owls that were probably days away from hatching. They had beaks, claws on their talons, and were developing feathers. I was devastated and mortified. Our house has been on the Morro Bay Winter Bird Festival tour for the last 2 years. These birds meant a lot to me, and I am heartbroken. On top of all of this, they did a horrible job. I had to leave a star to leave a review, but zero stars."

"System Pavers is HIGHLY motivated and well optimized to make the sale – but they WILL NOT stand behind their “system.” If/when problems develop (even due to their own failures), you are on your own. After a very high-pressure sales pitch (disguised as a “design meeting”) with all the accoutrements (fancy PowerPoint demonstration, a copy of their very large surety bond, commitments that they will stand behind us, and a “discount” that magically expired the same day), System Pavers completed our $72k backyard paver project in September 2021. Over the next few weeks, the pavers began to separate, sag, and “crown.” Also, the drainage in many areas was toward the house, not away from it. They did come back a couple of times to remove pavers, recompact, and reset. However, when failures continued, they asked us to let the system fail for another year so they would only have to do a major rehabilitation once. When that year elapsed, they were nowhere to be found. Very difficult to get them to come back out. Then, instead of fixing the failed system, they had a soils engineer evaluate. The engineer’s report confirmed they did not properly prepare the subgrade. They recently sent an email essentially saying they didn’t want to keep spending money on their failed system. They also claimed the warrantee would not cover the repairs. They are simply walking away, leaving us with an unsafe, embarrassing backyard and a worthless major investment. What a joke. PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY."
