He gave me a detailed quote and thoroughly explained what he would do. I had spoke with other painters and I knew his pricing was very good. We scheduled the job for about 10 days later. He called a few days before, we talked about the weather forecast and agreed he should start one day early. He was careful about rain in the the forecast and was taking no chances. J. "I had a terrible experience with SKM Property Maintenance and owner Doug King. What was promised as a 10-day deck project turned into a 7-month nightmare. Doug was extremely difficult to deal with—unprofessional, unresponsive, and at times, outright bullying. Midway through, he tried to pressure me into paying an extra $5,000 to finish the job. When I refused, progress stopped. I had to serve a Notice of Intent to Sue just to get it completed. To top it off, they placed the old, rotted bench back onto the newly finished deck—completely unacceptable. The lack of accountability and disregard for quality and customer service was shocking. I would never recommend this company. If you're considering SKM, proceed with extreme caution and get everything in writing. My experience was costly, frustrating, and not something I’d wish on anyone."
