"Hal fixed some hurricane Mathew damage on our house replacing lost siding, and we also had him replace 4 broken casement windows with double hungs. He was prompt, honest, and the price was right. The repairs are better than new. The siding looks great. The windows fit better than originals and the interior carpentry was superior. I plan to use him again for our next project in the spring, and I've recommended him to friends."

"They were hired to replace some damaged vinyl siding. Project was scheduled quickly, they showed up when they said they would and completed the job very quickly for a good price. All clean-up was completed and you could not tell they had even been there... will use them again."

"Finding quality, responsive contractors in the OBX is almost impossible. I am so thankful I found Stan and The Roswell group. From our initial meeting, Stan was great to work with. He spent plenty of time with me going over my project and was able to provide a quote within a few days. He and his crew did a complete tear out and replacement of three stories worth of exterior stairs and decks on the rear of my home. He also replaced all decking and handrails on the front. The quality of work is second to none! He is highly communicative and follows through on everything he says. I highly recommend Stan and his group for any of your projects."

You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
