Chimney Restoration & Repair, Tuckpoint, Fire Place Installation and Repair (Non Gas)
"We have a large, double-sided fireplace that created so much smoke in the house it was pretty much unuseable... previous owner had also installed doors that were too small for the openings, so even more smoke escaping around them... but we loved the doors (and you can't get them made like that anymore) and wanted to reuse them... German and his crew came out, listened to my needs (remove existing doors, narrow openinga on both sides by one course of additional brick, and reinstall doors, properly sealing them) and took detailed pictures of the existing brick to match it... the estimate was very reasonable, and the work was completed promptly... the bricks they found matched existing beautifully, and they got the grout perfect as well... they checked in repeatedly to make sure we were happy with the colors/etc... While here, they also inspected/cleaned fireplace and chimney, and suggested we parge the smokebox inside (for safety and for better draft)... additional quote provided on the spot, and additional work completed with the original work... they also water-sealed the exterior chimney bricks, and resealed the chimney cap... Tested fireplace after waiting for all mortar to cure, no more smoke in house!! Cannot recommend these guys enough!!"

Brick & Stone, Chimney Service
"Mario and his team did an excellent job installing a chimney liner, repairing the smoke chamber and replacing the chimney cap. The job was done promptly with professionalism, respect to property inside and out. All old material was removed and the property was returned in the condition it was originally found to be. I’d like to congratulate Chicago Chimney Service Inc on a job well done. Byron R."

"Our fireplace needed to be relined. When Jon and Ron looked at the project to provide a quote they observed additional items with bricks at the top of the chimney and cracked bricks in the fire box not communicated to me by another contractor. They worked safely and professionally to repair all the issues. At the end of the project they cleaned up and provided a complete walk thru of the job."

"They cleaned out our vent, repaired the chimney, replaced a cap, sealed and corrected cracks. They took Discover card, and were very reasonably priced, actually lower when compared to other contractors. Very good communication with timing. Two people arrived for the work. Very happy with their work and we will continue using their service."

When you hire a housekeeper or cleaning service, there are some questions you’ll need to ask to ensure you’re hiring the right person for the job. Writing down a list of services you want to be completed is a great place to start. This way, you’ll have all the information you need when you do interview a housekeeper or cleaning service, and they can provide you with accurate information and cost estimates.
Find out upfront if the housekeeper or cleaning company offers the services you need, especially if you have requests that go beyond basic services.
Do they charge a flat fee each week? Do they charge an hourly rate? Some companies charge based on your home’s square footage or the number of bedrooms you have.
Many companies may provide some smaller cleaning supplies, but they may need to use your vacuum cleaner or mop. Others bring their own or none at all. And if you’re particular about the types of chemicals used in your home, you may want to ask what products they use or if they’re willing to use what you provide.
Anytime you have a professional in your home, something could go wrong. They could get hurt, or some of your property may be damaged. Ask what would happen in these scenarios — a well-qualified professional will have the necessary insurance and bonding to cover these situations.
