We are fully licensed and insured. We are an accredited business of the Better Business Bureau and The National Chimney Sweep Guild; and as members of those organizations, we subscribe to the principles and services of each.
"Would give 0 stars if possible. Willing to take money for a job upfront and not really willing to follow through with all of the work. Have a brand new pellet stove I can’t use because they “don’t” do permit work. I’m not sure who they think is supposed to get it approved and provide the documentation since they pulled and submitted the permit. You’d expect for this kind of money (~$8K for this job) that all aspects of the job would be taken care of instead of the homeowner having to figure out how to get the inspector the uL rating on some foil wrapping the contractor used. Beyond frustrated with this company and will never use again. They took initial payment in July of 2024 and only have months of phone calls did they finally do the job only to bail on completion at the permit stage. -1 stars?"

No, chimney caps do not keep rain out entirely. However, chimney caps minimize rain and ice accumulation inside the chimney, preventing significant water or ice buildup in your home. Generally, the top of the chimney cap must be at least five inches above the top of the flue. If you hire a handyperson for your chimney cap installation, they can advise on the size and type of cap to purchase.
Chimney crowns—similar to chimney chase covers—are flat areas directly beneath the chimney cap. The installer reinforces the top of the chimney with mortar or concrete to shed water and provide a protective cover for your chimney, sealing the top.
