"I had a bunch of guys come out and try to install a stove for me, but were not able to because they said it was an English brand. Josh came out and installed it for me with no problem. It is perfect. He does not give up on the job."

"After Hurricane Ida in 2021, I needed to have my attic insulation removed and replaced due to storm damage. Luckily one of my neighbors had a Koala truck at their house very shortly after the storm, so I walked up and talked to the workers. I was able to get on their schedule a few days later. It was discovered that my attic was full of black mold, so Koala not only removed all of my old sopping wet insulation, but they remediated the mold, and installed my new blown-in insulation., and a new solar attic fan all for a very reasonable price. They were very professional, courteous, and easy to work with. They completed the job in a very timely manner and left my property cleaned up properly from this very messy installation process. I was so please with the work of Koala Insulation of Greater New Orleans, that I hired them to work on my double also."

"I needed some work done within a very short and specific time window and JB Total Hiome Solutions responded quickly and was very easy to work with. Jonathan and his crew finished the tiling work I initially contacted them about and expressed a willingness to undertake several other repairs/improvements I needed to complete over a weekend. He brought tremendous resources to bear, worked two long days, and finished everything that I needed. I came away very impressed with their professionalism and good nature. I couldn't recommend Jonathan and his team more highly and will definitely use their services again."

"We really appreciate how organized Cole and project manager Devin are. They organized the subcontractors easily and were always just phone call away. They always came to check on the quality of work and addressed any questions or challenges that came up in a timely manner. The plumber and electrician they used for our bathroom project were very professional. We will be hiring them for more projects this year."

A truly skilled, well-equipped professional with a truck full of parts that charges $100 an hour can be a much wiser choice than an inexperienced hack, working with inadequate tools and no parts, but charging much less. Often, more experienced professionals get the job done quickly with warrantied work.
2. Compare Travel ChargesRates reflect travel times. Travel charges can have a big impact on your costs and are in some ways easier to compare than hourly rates. Many electricians spend a third or more of their time navigating traffic on their way to a jobsite. Every contractor must find a way to pay for the expense of driving each day.
3. Bundle Repair Jobs TogetherWhen you feel it’s time to call a pro, review your list and then conduct a mini-inspection of your home. Look for faulty switches and dysfunctional or crowded outlets. When the electrician comes, you’ll save money and time by getting everything taken care of at once.
