"I had extensive repairs completed on my 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home after significant damage, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Caves Home Improvements LLC repaired my entire home, and after living with the completed work for over a month, I can confidently say everything is functioning properly and has held up well. The team was professional, responsive, and paid attention to detail throughout the project. The quality of workmanship exceeded my expectations, and I especially appreciate the upgrades I chose to pay extra for—they were absolutely worth it and made a noticeable difference in the overall appearance and feel of my home. My house feels refreshed, updated, and truly like home again. I am very satisfied with the finished product and would recommend Caves Home Improvements LLC to anyone looking for quality home repairs or renovations. Thank you for helping bring my home back better than before! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"We needed a complete kitchen remodel and with this being the first major renovation of our home we had binder full of ideas on what we wanted the kitchen to be when finished. Frank came out listened intently to our ideas, suggested different options, and subsequently presented his proposal in a friendly, and professional manner. He was there every step along the way. We are 100% thrilled with our new kitchen and would highly recommend Frank to anyone."

"Rick and Linda were amazing.  Rick is so talented -- his woodwork is absolutely beautiful.  All work was done to code -- never any issues with inspections.  For the most part the subcontractors used were professional and also did amazing work.  As I wasn't on site most of the time, Linda made sure every detail was fully discussed before execution.  The plans for the kitchen went back and forth many times, to include a layout drawing on the floor which was extremely helpful before I made the final commitment.  The only exception was the HVAC contractor, who did a great job with the system, but did not coordinate before making an aesthetically unpleasing installation which had to be changed (Linda took care of that) and also left a mess in the room (which I cleaned up).  The work did take longer than anticipated, but that was likely due to unforeseen complications which needed to be remedied (original footers which were not to standard and therefore had to be replaced; cement walls still resident in the original house which needed to be removed before lifting; etc).  The price was probably higher than other contractors, but the value was tremendous.  Completely trustworthy I used RLC before this major work and will use them in the future."

Customers say: Quick response

"I had an excellent experience working with Kevin on a few major projects getting my old home ready for selling. They included roofing, siding, window installations, large drywall repairs, and tile installation. Everything was clean when they left and the quality of the work was excellent. There were even a few repairs which they took care of with out me asking for them, just things they noticed which needed to be done. I would highly recommend Kevin's team for any project you have."

"Working with Rafael was an absolute pleasure from beginning to end. From our first meeting through the final stages of the project, he remained consistently engaged, enthusiastic, thoughtful, and considerate. He went above and beyond, showing a strong commitment to quality and attention to detail. It’s clear he genuinely loves what he does—his insights throughout the process were incredibly helpful and reassuring. This was a major undertaking for me, but Rafael made me feel confident and comfortable every step of the way. Even when unexpected challenges came up, I still felt great about the experience and my decision to hire East Beach Construction. The daily crew was impressively punctual. I’d see them arrive early, waiting respectfully until their official start time. The kitchen renovation was understandably messy, but they did a good job containing the disruption and cleaning up at the end of each day. I will absolutely hire them again for future projects."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Newport News, VA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
