"Everything went smoothly. We were on a time crunch, and had to change the installation date to the weekend. Austin was our guy and he was always on top of things and was in contact with us. They didn’t have the transition pieces available on the dates the installers showed up but he said it was not a problem for them to do the flooring first, and transitions a couple days later. Normally that wouldn’t be a big deal but we live in a rural area, far away from their company so it’s a pain to get out here! The flooring looks and feels awesome. I don’t remember what it’s called but it’s an innovative, durable, lifetime guaranteed type of flooring. Most expensive, but worth the price since we have 2 dogs and 2 cats."

"Mr. Nigel Fleming was 3 hours late for the initial consultation! He was subsequently late on the 1st day and absent thereafter until his worker quite due to 3 wweks non-payment. Mr. Fleming came to work almost daily, sparingly. He told me that the job would take 2 weeks at most, but as we speak, I am still awaiting completion of my ADA compliant grab bars and the crew-in shower rod negotiated in the deal. He actually told me that plumber was responsible those installs. Note: Mr. Nigel Fleming, Design Renovations (of Crestview, FL) isn't a responsible, timely, nor professional. If you're a risk taker, due to cost, then he may be your man. 😡🤬"

"When J. chandler and helper started setting up, they opened the trailer ramp and one cable to the ramp was not connected to the drum, making it a tripping hazard, they secured the cable under the ramp and continued to download the hopper. The wheels on the hopper appeared to have a bent axle as the wheels were on a 30 ~ 40 degree angle most likely to being subject to overweight condition in the past. They were having trouble putting the hopper into my garage as the 1 1/2 inch step was too much for the hopper to overcome. I gave them 2 plastic angle blocks to be able to navigate the step with their hopper. They commenced working and shortly after they started J. Chandler was in the attic and the helper asked me if I had a stick for him to break up the insulation so the hopper could blow it into the attic. I gave him a walking stick so he could complete his task. They were definitely not prepared to professionally complete the task. When they finished and told me they could not access the attic. I couldn’t believe he didn’t advise me of that condition 10 days earlier when he gave me the quote. I discussed this with the previous home owner and she provided me a statement of work from 6/26/2017 reflecting R38 blanket and batt insulation, 14 3/4 inches thick was installed. I perceive I have been ripped off!"

R-value measures how well insulation resists heat flow, which directly affects your home's energy efficiency. The higher the R-value, the better the insulation. You don't need to remove your old insulation before adding new insulation, as long as it's in good condition. Adding new insulation over existing materials can improve your home's energy efficiency. Installing insulation typically takes five to twelve hours for batts or boards, and two to five hours for spray foam or blown-in insulation. The exact time depends on the type of material and your home's layout. If you need to remove old insulation, have a larger home, or hard-to-reach areas, the project may take longer.
The International Association of Certified Home Inspectors has said foam board insulation can last up to 100 years if properly installed. Some insulation materials can suffer from water damage or start to sag over many years, thus reducing their insulating ability.
