"I’m not quite sure what is taking so long to get any updates from this company. I’ve been waiting for an update on the siding being painted, touch ups they missed to be fixed, have their interior team fix the walls their crew punched nails through the wall, broke the frame of our kitchen window, and pick up the materials that have been blocking our driveway since the start of the project. It took them three weeks from the initial pick up date I was given for their team to pick up and confirm that the honey bucket had been taken from our property. Of course I had to call them to follow up and actually get it picked up. All of this to basically summarize that if you want your siding done in a timely manner and to work with a cohesive team that values communication and their customers as much as theirs salesman Brad told us they do, then find another company aside from Pacific Exteriors."

"It is hard to believe that it has been almost three years since Northern Pacific Exteriors completed our full house siding project. I’d like to offer a long-term review now that we’ve had a few years to live with the results. It is hard to believe, but I think I’m even happier with the quality of the work now than I was when they wrapped up the job. The house looks as good as it did when they pulled out of the driveway for the last time. I literally have nothing that doesn’t look right about the job after three years of living with it. The work still looks new. Northern Pacific Exteriors is the contractor we all hope we find, especially for big-ticket projects that require highly skilled crews. Superb attention to detail. Every promise was kept. Easy to work with. Fair pricing. Kept to the schedule and showed up with a full crew everyday. Left the job site clean. Honest, fair, and straightforward in every way - no games just superior results. I just cannot recommend them too highly. "How did it go? Excellent! Jamie, the owner, was quick to respond to any and all inquires. Easy to reach, easy to get a hold of, both by e-mail and text. His team chief, Bob, clearly had years of experience! They were scheduled for 9 am and at 9 am, I looked outside to see the truck parked outside! Bob's experience came in handy when there were issues getting my sliding glass door into place, due to my residence being roughly 50 years old; which still had the the original, single pane, metal frame windows & slider door. If there were any issues with the same old type of windows which were replaced, I didn't know it because everything went so smoothly. Bob knew exactly how to quickly fix any issues, and his entire crew ran like a well oiled machine. The crew were extremely efficient. plus they went above and beyond; making sure the window glass and frames were cleaned and they vacuumed up the little bits of debris created when taking out the old metal framed windows and they took the old windows/door with them when they left for safe disposal. All the while never complaining about the pouring down rain! I would highly recommend this company, in short, for the excellent install , clean up and very fair pricing."

"Modernized Exteriors did a fantastic job with my deck reconstruction, gazebo rebuild, and installation of deck lighting! I selected M.E. from four contractors whom I had contacted. M.E. did two things right in that process. First, they did a phone consultation in order to give a ballpark estimate for my deck. They wanted to do a phone consult before coming out, because potential customers may drop their idea once they hear how expensive a project is going to be. M.E. does not send salespeople out to give estimates; the owners come out themselves. They were guarding their time, and I was impressed by that. The second thing they did right in the bid process was they were the only contractor to show me photos of their previous work. There are some outstanding examples that you can see on their website. I accepted M.E.’s bid, paid a 1/3 deposit, and given a schedule estimate for 6 to 8 weeks. Because of snowy weather in the Seattle area in late December/early January, my project did not actually begin until 10 weeks after my deposit. My project took about two weeks. Homes here in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle are a tight fit – as I put it – and I was a bit impacted by the need for a dumpster in my driveway (for old deck removal – my garage was inaccessible), and the need for a porta-potty for the crew on my curb strip. The inconveniences were well worth it, as my new deck looks spectacular! I only gave Modernized Exteriors four stars because I wanted you to read this review. As my project was underway, the crew was identifying additional work items that they deemed necessary in order to do the project correctly. For example, my old deck had a platform for my hot tub, and a wooden gazebo to cover it. We determined due to deterioration of the hot tub platform that the hot tub needed to be moved, and the platform rebuilt. This was an unforeseen need. As well, a considerable amount of soil and debris underneath the old deck needed to be removed, and the undergirding frame rebuilt. Perhaps naively, I was verbally assenting to these additional work items without inquiring about additional cost. Neither was this information volunteered by the contractor. The upshot is that my project went nearly 28% over the original estimate. By my opinion, exceeding a bid is a problem for one bit reason: The situation becomes indistinguishable from a contractor that deliberately low-balls an estimate in order to win business. I do not believe that went on here, because I could see that the additional work items were not foreseeable when the project was bid. All told, I would have agreed to the additional work even if the original bid had been updated. I value a job done right, and I have every expectation that my deck will last, and be beautiful for decades. The reader will have to decide whether the amount of surprise billing at the conclusion of the project was more the contractor’s fault for not updating the estimate, or mine for not asking about it. Congrats again to Modernized Exteriors for a job well done, and I do definitely recommend their services!"

"Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! Travis helped me tremendously! Premier Painting walked into mess and fixed every inch of my house! In preparations of getting my house re-strained I hired a pressure washing company to get rid my stain & clean up my siding. What I didn’t realize is they ruined most of my siding by penetrating too deep in the wood. When Premier Painting came to stain, they noticed my stain wouldn’t adhere to the wood. After recognizing this, Travis immediately stopped work and called me back to the house. Here he physically stained my house in front of me showing me what was happening. After identifying the issue, Travis and I talked in-depth of my options and he gave me his professional opinion. Since I had an oil-based stain I had to go over it with an oil-based paint so it’d properly bond onto one another. Changing my options from a stain to a 3-toned paint job meant I had to pick out colors in the next 1-3 days! Premier Painting had a strict schedule they had to adhere by so I had to pick quickly so I wouldn’t lose my spot in line. Therefore I went to the paint store and picked out what I thought I’d like…Premier bought the paint and primed my house. After realizing what the color would look like from the primer I realized I hated it! Here I had bought $2k in paint and didn’t know what to do. Travis again was there to help me. He showed me previous pictures of houses he did in the past and offered further suggestions. One of those suggestions being that instead of buying new paint we instead take the paint we had back to Sherwin and darken it to my liking. The next day he met me at the paint store at 7am and were there over an hour together doing paint test samples. Finally I found something I think I had liked and went with it. After all said and done Travis offered me great advice and I’m forever grateful. My house turned out beautifully. I will definitely be calling them for any future needs or work! - Austin"
