They went over everything with me from picking the right kind of tile to which grout and color is best in the room. There were quite a few difficult angles and they made everything so clean and symmetrical. I knew replacing the flooring would make the room look better, but it came out even better than I expected. While he was here, I had him look at the grout in our shower and he was able to repair and replace a bunch of old grout, and do some other repairs in the bathroom all in the same day. Your tiling pro can use fiber cement backboards or high-quality plywood to create a solid base. Proper preparation prevents water damage and cracking, leading to a durable, attractive finish.
Wait 24 to 48 hours after tiling before installing grout. This allows the thin-set adhesive to cure properly, ensuring a strong bond. Grouting too soon can cause misalignment and damage. If there's a delay, you can leave tiles ungrouted temporarily. Keep the surface clean and avoid foot traffic to prevent misalignment or cracking. This keeps your installation intact until you can grout.
