"Bottom Line: This is the first time we have used this company, and they did excellent work for a reasonable price, and more importantly, built a huge amount of trust with the customer. Communication: Scheduling the initial estimate was easy, but the back-and-forth communication required to finalize the many detailed options was a bit slow; however, the owner Scott Halle interceded and timely communication continued throughout the rest of the process. Scoping Work: This is where Zen Windows really excels, primarily because of the vast knowledge of James Bond. We wanted to replace the single door with side transoms with something that would maximize the opening space. James expertly walked us through the options with cost and wall modification comparisons. In addition, the header above the current door was swelling and pinning the door, and James evaluated the issue, likely water seeping down from an unflashed deck, and provided peace of mind his guys could fix it on site during installation. Quality of Work: Frankly, 75-80% of contractors fail here for three primary reasons: a horrible handoff from the product specialist to the onsite project foreman, project foreman and workers making assumptions about details vice asking the customer, and lack of quality detailed work. The foreman excelled in these areas ensuring we were on the same page for various details such as casing, caulking, and external trim. In addition, he completely replaced the rotted wood structure above and along the sides of the door and added customer-provided insulation where there were gaps. To keep the project on track, they brought in another expert worker and management arrived to ensure the quality of work was high. The end product was beautiful. Pricing: Price was the best of three highly ranked Angie’s List companies. Zen Windows’ expertise, willingness to explain the details of the project, timely communication, and excellent work took the hassle out of this project."

"It was amazing. Before the work, it was amazing how little rain it would take to cause standing water in the yard. After they completed, we got 2" of rain in one day and had no standing water anywhere in the area they worked."

"We hired Unicorp to change front door because of superb review on Angi, but disappointed. 1. It's a small company using subcontractors to do its work; Contrary to its claim, those subcontractors DO NOT work exclusively for Unicorp. 2. After subcontractors got paid, you will not see them again for the job. The service team seems only one person (JR). It is hard to make an appt, since he has to supervise a lot of subcontractors' work, and only do service when he is supervising near you. Specific problems: -Ghost swing after installation (i.e. door swings to close by itself). Had to request adjustment at least twice. -Fainted finish after a few years while still in warranty, but we were advised to paint ourselves. -Very thin layer of finish, and very easy to get scratch to show white underline color; -Have PROBLEM to LOCK the door. After it was "fixed", problem showed again. -Subcontractor used wood with black stains, suspect mold, to install the door; Brand new door had minor defect."

"We hire Window Nation to replace 10 windows at our house, after a few months one of the panel leaked and was defective. Window Nation replace the panel at no cost under their warranty. We are very satisfy with the process and would hire them again to replace the remaining windows at our house."

"What an amazing experience from start to finish! Initially, the sales rep took the time to explain every facet of the process, history and quality assurance of the company before, during and after installation of my windows. All next steps given were followed up promptly by a courteous customer service rep through emails and text messages. An expert came out and measured all windows for precise fitting. He then also made me aware of next steps. While I awaited for my windows to be custom made, I received periodic messages providing anticipated dates due to shortage of materials. Once my windows were ready for installation, a date and time was scheduled for a team to come to install the windows. My Oh MY!!! Did they send me the BEST crew ever!!! The team lead walked with me to each window location in my home to ensure the measured window would be installed in the right location per the measurement appearing on the window pane left by the measurer. The crew worked steadfastly throughout the day. They took a brief lunch break. The crew members paused to address any questions my sister or I had. They were polite and friendly. This crew completed the task just before a fierce thunderstorm rolled through the area. During the inspection walk, we noticed one window pane was broken. NO worries, the crew leader had already contacted headquarters to place a replacement order. In a day or so following the installation, a representative reached out to me to explain next steps! My home feels so much cozier and sound since the installation of the windows. I have had to make adjustments to my thermostat because my home stays cooler longer!
