"My family has been in the construction business for 200 years. I watched my Father and Grand Father, and product they supplied. I live on Exeter Blvd in the Arcadia area of Phoenix, and all of my neighbors have beautiful homes. I contacted Home Advisers because I wanted options. I interviewed multiple contractors but choose Shield Contracting because I felt comfortable with them because they came as a family. The Son is President, and the father runs areas of his expertise. So after I felt comfortable, I asked for references and viewed their previous projects. Their pricing was not the highest, nor the lowest, but competitive. And they educated me on options to either increase quality, or lower cost by a less expensive product. So I was able to do both, increase quality where needed, and lower paint cost where quality wasn't required. But the most important piece was how they educated me throughout every project. Showing me area's where red brick needed additional structure support, or where the side of my home had extreme sunlight and needed the est quality, and multiple coats of paint. When your contractor is educating you before and during projects. Your decisions are much easier because you understand what required. Concluding: they met their commitments, the work was superb and they made sure and adhered to our schedule. I typically don't fill out every survey, but seeing this is our home, I wanted others to know that Shield Contracting out produces what they agree to. Our home looks beautiful, and then in addition to having an excellent end product. We enjoyed having them perform the work. Good Price, Exceptional Work, and Great People...that is why I decided to complete this survey."

"Next Level Painters was amazing. Fernando (the owner) takes much pride in delivering a high-end quality job at a great value. You get what you pay for in life, & I did not want to be cheap in selecting a sloppy painting company that would ruin all of the great contracting work done in my home. His quote was not the least expensive of the bunch, but I chose him because I sensed his honesty & I felt comfortable having him & his team in my home & my gut told me he would be able to deliver the quality that I wanted. I was right. Trust me; you will not be disappointed with Fernando's work."

Painters usually price a job by the square feet of the project. Sometimes they’ll include flat fees for fixed expenses, like overhead and permits.

Interior painting makes for a doable DIY project. You can save some money and get a real sense of accomplishment by doing this yourself. And, with the right prep work – covering, taping and scraping – it’s fairly forgiving. But it takes a lot of time to move furniture, tape trim, prep the surface and cover your floor, let alone apply the actual paint. Instead, save yourself the time and hassle and find a local interior painter.
Leave exterior painting to the pros. Not only do you need to worry about the type and quality of the paint, you’ll also likely need a ladder and considerably more prep work. You’ll likely need additional equipment like ladders, scaffolding and possibly a paint sprayer. It’s almost cheaper to just hire a pro. Talk to a local exterior house painter about your project.
