"We purchased a 1923 cottage in Chardon in August of 2023 which we intend to use primarily in the summer. The home needed a total remodel, with an additional bathroom, complete basement remodel, kitchen remodel, heating & AC. Because of the age of the house we wanted someone to come by and let us know what could actually be done. Several contractors were not willing to just come out and talk to us. Jeff at Lost Pond Construction was willing to spend the time to go over our ideas and let us know if they were workable. His friendly manner and helpful suggestions encouraged us to move forward with the project. The next step was for his designer, Lisa to visit the house and come up with a plan. She presented a number of ideas that we reviewed. With Lisa and Jeff's help we chose the plan we desired and picked out the cabinetry, flooring, bath fixtures and colors, We then took a leap of faith, as we were returning to our home in Florida for the winter and would not be in Chardon for the remodeling. Of course we had some jitters, but Jeff and Lisa kept us totally informed as to the progress of the house. Jeff sent us videos and photos throughout the entire process. Construction started in October and was completed in Jan/Feb of 2024. When we returned to Chardon to see the results, we were extremely pleased - no surprises, everything was done to our satisfaction. The few things that needed follow up were quickly corrected. We would absolutely recommend Jeff and Lisa with Lost Pond Construction. They were easy to work with, did what they said they would do, returned phone calls and made the process as seamless as possible. And last but not least, they did a beautiful job!"

"Weir Contracting is very personable and accommodated my needs. They were timely, efficient and delivered as promised. They removed ceramic tile from my dining room and installed carpeting. They installed laminate wood in my kitchen and hallway. They did a great job removing the wallpaper in the bathroom, repaired the defects then painted , installed cabinetry and replaced the floor, The 70's interior is gone and I am very happy thanks to Dave and his crew."

In addition to the specifications required fo composit deck installation, he added more than required joists speculations to ensure the deck likely remain problem free. He also was able to anchor my propane grill and table without risk to the deck as these articles get thrown around in windy and stormy weather. He provided a generous warranty. I enthusiastically recommended his work."

"They came out and gave us a quote. They didn't have a formal contract just something Jose wrote up. We agreed to the quote but after reviewing it we felt we couldn't go through with the project. We contacted Jose the next day to advise him we would not be able to go through with the work and he said he would HOLD the 1000.00 check we have given him. The following week I went into tour bank account the stop payment on the check and found that Jose had cashed it two days after he said he would hold it. I am very glad we decided not to work with him as I am not sure I would trust him to do the work."

"They were hired to replace a tub, fixtures, and put in tile surrounding the tub with a niche and 2 shelves. We also had them re route a vent pipe in a separate bathroom so that it is past the trap and not letting sewer gases into the home. We were given options for materials based on our budget and guided on who to meet with at the appropriate store to select our materials. The work was done within the timeframe we gave. They did an excellent job making the space beautiful and professionally done. They respected our home and cleaned up better than expected each day. Of course, there were unexpected issues that arose that were dealt with without concern such as having to shore up not plumb walls. The price wasn’t cheap but was reasonable. In all, they did an excellent job."

"The company wanted me to pay half upfront which is not what I wanted then he got upset about it. he was very abusive, very unprofessional, not able to communicate well in business, he doesn't have business concept, very unresponsive and I think he was just a very small business operator. He warned! keep your money in your pocket."
