"We highly recommend James Peck Landscaping. He did a total landscaping of our large front and back yard that had both been reduced to dirt and weeds after a year-long construction. We got bids from several companies including a couple of the big outfits. James Peck's designs were by far the most detailed and thoughtful, taking into account of exactly what we were looking for and how we would actually be using specific the spaces. He was not the cheapest bid, but he was giving us so much more than anyone else and worked with us to get down to within our budget (such as using smaller plants). In the end, we think we got far better value than if we had gone with the low bid. After signing the contract Mr. Peck stayed in regular contact throughout the design process and then supervised every aspect of the installation personally. Because he owns his own nursery and grows most of the plants he installs, he was able to make changeouts up to and even during installation. His crew was professional and everyone had clearly worked for him for long enough that they knew what he expected. The outcome was not just stunning, it was transformative. James Peck is an old school craftsman in the best sense of that term."

"We have employed Express Lawn Service for four years. We hope to have them for as long as we are in our current home. They are dependable, do a great job and are responsive to our needs. On occasion, they have noticed something that needs to be done like completing an edging job that I started but had not completed due to heat and they took a few extra minutes to complete it for me. They even, without being asked, saw a pile of debris from the last hurricane and picked it up and hauled it away. Very, very kind and considerate of the homeowners. Perfect company for an aging couple who needs help with lawn and landscape maintenance."

"The first red flag is representing himself as Steve Perez on Angi’s list when in fact his name is Ziv. There’s the hard sell and false promises (finish a kitchen remodel in 5-6 weeks) when it took 4 months. Unprofessionalism is an understatement. He communicates through texting like a teenager and screams at the client when in fact errors are his fault or his sub-contractors. We provided appliance specs very early in the process and the electrician still made errors for which Ziv wanted us to pay for. The cabinets delivered were incomplete which he blamed on us. He demanded a final payment and threatened to put a lean on our house when the work was incomplete per the contract. Then Subs starting calling demanding payment which was resolved after we provided cashed checks to Sonart Construction. Don’t believe what I say. Read the BBB review complaints for a well-deserved F rating."

"Signed contract 11/12. Permitting request made; permit issued 1/30/2025. Drywall/insulation work begun almost immediately. Spoke on phone with GC just over 2 weeks ago to review time frame for rest of work. GC stated he planned to meet with me and walk through the following week. Stated painting would begin the following week (this would be the week of 2/10). Neither event happened. Also asked about floor tiling job, as I had outside company doing the job & wanted to let that person know when he could plan on the job starting. GC stated 2 weeks out; that would have been this past week. This didn't happen either. I texted GC 2/18 to ask if we could meet at house the next day. No reply. Called cell # 2/19 requesting call back to discuss lack of recent progress. Emailed 2/21 with same request, reminding him that I'm renting a place & am unable to stay indefinitely. Again asking about time frame on project. On 2/22, texted again, asking that he please call me. Each time I've attempted contact, I've asked him to please call me to discuss project & time line. He has not responded to me at all. This is the reason for my complaint. As of now, I feel left in the dark about whatever is happening or not. He is not communicating to me. I feel like he is avoiding contact. At present, I have no idea what his plans are schedule-wise for the project. It feels like my house project is in limbo right now. For more than a week, nothing has been done inside the house, with no explanation as to why. I think the GC has possibly over-extended himself, due to the magnitude of people needing assistance post-hurricanes and therefore may not have much spare time. But he needs to make sure his customers are being taken care of and communicated with."

"Workers arrived late. Seemed very inexperience, and lacked a professional and serious attitude towards the landscape project they to perform. Paid for lawn sod replacement ($300) to find out it was totally. destroyed because they had to come back to correct a patio paver deck that was slanted toward to the foundation instead of away from the foundation. Had Owner return to correct the issue after he still insisted there was no problem. When he finally returned to correct the issue he realized that the entire patio had to be realigned. During the process he broke a pool pipe! It was a disaster and could have been avoided if the patio pavers were installed properly the first time. The owner may have good intent but lacks experienced employers. Had also expected me to pay for the cost of his error in sawing through my pool pipe. Would not recommend him for major landscaping projects . Paid $12,600 OVERPAID! As Elderly People have learned a lesson."
