"The equipment was delivered promptly, and the installers arrived shortly after. Chris Hardin and Anthony were the installers. They were very experienced, well trained, knowledgeable, and did top quality work. Both were polite, personable, and treated me with respect. I tend to be a perfectionist and must say if I would have had the skills to do this job myself, I could not have done any better. I have never seen such good quality for any heating and air conditioner replacement in other homes I have owned. In addition to replacing the furnace and air conditioner units, some other items that were replaced were: suction and liquid lines, the exterior breaker box, condenser pad, furnace vent, insert in the vent going up the chimney, and the condensation pump and hose. The old furnace was situated such that there was not much room to change the air filter and perform maintenance. The new furnace was repositioned to eliminate that problem. This involved rerouting the electrical cable to the furnace switch and partially extending the gas line. My previous coil was never a tight fit over the furnace and therefore, cool and warm air escaped. Special care was taken to tightly mount the new coil and thoroughly seal it with silicone. Some insulation was even used around ducts nearby. All the old equipment, including the condenser pad, was hauled away. The work area was cleaned up well after completion."

Jefferson Electric has been serving the state of Indiana for over 6 years with an exceptional focus on customer care, communication, reliability, integrity and craftsmanship. We provide services in residential and commercial solar energy state wide as well as residential and commercial wiring to the greater Indianapolis area. 32 Employees.
"For us, the Indianapolis crew definitely did not provide the “relationship, integrity, nor excellence” they proclaim on their website. No one called me when the job was finally completed to follow up. No one called to let me know when they would be arriving. Yes, I had an 8am appointment but a simple phone call or text would have made a big difference especially when you’re coming to my home. Later in the day 2 guys randomly showed back up again because they forgot to do something. Again, no phone call, they just showed up. I was invoiced before the job was finished. (The project manager did tell me not to pay what was due until the job is complete but due dates remained the same) My panel looks like it was labeled by a third grade student and if I had of known it was going to be completed in that manner I would’ve done it myself. Now I have to go back and fix it. It was very kind of my project manager to include wiring up my dishwasher. However, the junction box was placed right next to my hot water line which could easily leak into the box. (Why not ask me where I want it? Do you also install lights and not ask where they’re going to go?) Granted, I am not an electrician by any means but to me with this junction box not being waterproof or placed away from my water source it’s an accident waiting to happen. Again, something I have to fix for the safety of my family. At least it’s to code per the owner. There’s dust all over the outside of my house where the new meter was placed. Is it commonplace for the customer to have to clean up after a job when it’s in the contract stating they’ll take care of clean up? A can of Great Stuff was left right outside my back door. Again, for me to clean up. Easy for me to do, but that’s not the point. All these details make me question the quality and integrity of the rest of of the job. For a $4600 job, standards of excellence should be higher. They came out to my house twice. Once to do the job and a second time to tie some things up. The owner did offer to come out and personally address my concerns but it’s apparent, based on my experience, that attention to detail, communication, customer service and high quality work are not in their training and at this point I don’t want them back out to my house. They did send us 2, $50 gift cards as an apology for my disappointment. I requested a partial refund of $500 so I could hire someone who was more attentive to detail and that request was denied. In the end I’m going to agree to disagree with the owner. If you hire this company to do work I hope you receive a better experience than we did."

We are Yoder Dame Construction serving Mitchell, IN. Give us a call if you need high quality remodeling service!
"Company backed out of a 100k house remodel. Upon inspection there were fire hazards, leaking pipes, windows that cannot be opened, support beams that are bowing in the middle, and drywall that shows every seam, screw, and putty mark. Many of the issues were corrected, but they backed out when the drywall was brought to attention. After paying 70K, still no kitchen, no floors, and unfinished electrical. Save yourself some heartache and money."

Upgrading an electrical panel may not significantly increase your home's value, but it can make your property more appealing to potential buyers. A modern electrical panel enhances safety and meets current electrical demands, offering peace of mind to home buyers. This can make your home easier to sell and potentially lead to higher offers when the time comes.
Upgrading an electrical panel from 100 to 200 amps costs between $750 and $2,000, not including the cost of running new wiring for additional circuits. This upgrade increases your home's electrical capacity, allowing you to safely use more appliances and modern electrical devices without overloading your system. It's a valuable investment for homes with growing electrical needs.
Yes, in most circumstances, you will need a permit to upgrade your panel. Contact your local building department if you’re upgrading the breaker box, moving it, upgrading your amperage service, or adding a new subpanel. If you’re just replacing a light switch, receptacle, or single breaker in the electrical box, you may not need a permit, but it’s always a good idea to check or speak to a professional.
When only the unit is exchanged, replacing an electrical panel takes four to eight hours. When associated wiring and additional components require removal and reinstallation, the process extends to 20 to 30 hours. A professional electrician deploys a dedicated team to remove the old panel, install the new one, and update all wiring with precision, ensuring your system meets current safety codes.
Replacing an electrical panel begins by turning off the power and notifying the utility company. The electrician secures all required parts, disconnects wiring safely, and inspects the system before removing the old panel. Following safe disposal, the new panel is firmly installed, and all wiring is reconnected and updated to current safety codes.
An electrical breaker panel lasts 25 to 40 years when maintained correctly and inspected annually. This proven lifespan guarantees a long-term, safe electrical system. Regular maintenance and prompt professional evaluations preserve the panel’s performance and secure your home’s power supply, ensuring continued safety and system efficiency.
