"The equipment was delivered promptly, and the installers arrived shortly after. Chris Hardin and Anthony were the installers. They were very experienced, well trained, knowledgeable, and did top quality work. Both were polite, personable, and treated me with respect. I tend to be a perfectionist and must say if I would have had the skills to do this job myself, I could not have done any better. I have never seen such good quality for any heating and air conditioner replacement in other homes I have owned. In addition to replacing the furnace and air conditioner units, some other items that were replaced were: suction and liquid lines, the exterior breaker box, condenser pad, furnace vent, insert in the vent going up the chimney, and the condensation pump and hose. The old furnace was situated such that there was not much room to change the air filter and perform maintenance. The new furnace was repositioned to eliminate that problem. This involved rerouting the electrical cable to the furnace switch and partially extending the gas line. My previous coil was never a tight fit over the furnace and therefore, cool and warm air escaped. Special care was taken to tightly mount the new coil and thoroughly seal it with silicone. Some insulation was even used around ducts nearby. All the old equipment, including the condenser pad, was hauled away. The work area was cleaned up well after completion."

Jefferson Electric has been serving the state of Indiana for over 6 years with an exceptional focus on customer care, communication, reliability, integrity and craftsmanship. We provide services in residential and commercial solar energy state wide as well as residential and commercial wiring to the greater Indianapolis area. 32 Employees.
"For us, the Indianapolis crew definitely did not provide the “relationship, integrity, nor excellence” they proclaim on their website. No one called me when the job was finally completed to follow up. No one called to let me know when they would be arriving. Yes, I had an 8am appointment but a simple phone call or text would have made a big difference especially when you’re coming to my home. Later in the day 2 guys randomly showed back up again because they forgot to do something. Again, no phone call, they just showed up. I was invoiced before the job was finished. (The project manager did tell me not to pay what was due until the job is complete but due dates remained the same) My panel looks like it was labeled by a third grade student and if I had of known it was going to be completed in that manner I would’ve done it myself. Now I have to go back and fix it. It was very kind of my project manager to include wiring up my dishwasher. However, the junction box was placed right next to my hot water line which could easily leak into the box. (Why not ask me where I want it? Do you also install lights and not ask where they’re going to go?) Granted, I am not an electrician by any means but to me with this junction box not being waterproof or placed away from my water source it’s an accident waiting to happen. Again, something I have to fix for the safety of my family. At least it’s to code per the owner. There’s dust all over the outside of my house where the new meter was placed. Is it commonplace for the customer to have to clean up after a job when it’s in the contract stating they’ll take care of clean up? A can of Great Stuff was left right outside my back door. Again, for me to clean up. Easy for me to do, but that’s not the point. All these details make me question the quality and integrity of the rest of of the job. For a $4600 job, standards of excellence should be higher. They came out to my house twice. Once to do the job and a second time to tie some things up. The owner did offer to come out and personally address my concerns but it’s apparent, based on my experience, that attention to detail, communication, customer service and high quality work are not in their training and at this point I don’t want them back out to my house. They did send us 2, $50 gift cards as an apology for my disappointment. I requested a partial refund of $500 so I could hire someone who was more attentive to detail and that request was denied. In the end I’m going to agree to disagree with the owner. If you hire this company to do work I hope you receive a better experience than we did."

We are Yoder Dame Construction serving Mitchell, IN. Give us a call if you need high quality remodeling service!
"Company backed out of a 100k house remodel. Upon inspection there were fire hazards, leaking pipes, windows that cannot be opened, support beams that are bowing in the middle, and drywall that shows every seam, screw, and putty mark. Many of the issues were corrected, but they backed out when the drywall was brought to attention. After paying 70K, still no kitchen, no floors, and unfinished electrical. Save yourself some heartache and money."

While a lightning protection system reduces the risk of damage to your home, there are some drawbacks to keep in mind. The system requires regular cleaning and inspections to operate correctly. Without proper maintenance, it might malfunction during a storm, leaving your home vulnerable. Additionally, the installation cost and the appearance of rods on your roof may be concerns for you.
No, copper doesn't attract lightning. Lightning naturally strikes the tallest point in an area, regardless of the material. Copper is used in lightning rods because it's an excellent conductor of electricity. When lightning strikes the rod, the copper safely channels the electrical current through cables into a grounding system buried in the earth, effectively protecting your home from damage.
The number of lightning rods your home needs depends on its size and the type of protection system you choose. For example, a 3,000-square-foot home requires six to eight copper or aluminum lightning rods to ensure full coverage. Alternatively, a single Early Streamer Emission (ESE) air terminal system can protect the entire home. It's best to consult a UL-certified professional to determine the exact number of rods needed for optimal protection.
