A representative from Powers came to my door and said they were doing work in the neighborhood. He offered a free quote on a new roof. I didn’t have time that day, so we scheduled a follow-up for Saturday morning. I assumed it would be straightforward—measure the roof, give me a quote. Oh, how wrong I was. On Saturday, a completely different representative showed up and proceeded to deliver a five-hour sales pitch. I made it clear from the start that I was only looking for a roof quote—but instead, I got a relentless push for add-ons like doors, gutters, and radiant barriers. He inspected and measured our windows and then launched into the presentation. Reza is knowledgeable about the Window Nation offering as well as the products offered by his competitors. As mentioned, I did some research and had an idea of the features that we wanted and what we should pay. Reza presented the Window Nation Grand View line, which meets our feature requirements, and after a bit of back-and-forth negotiation we settled on a price that was within our range and fair to us both. After signing, Reza described the next steps and set expectations. Overall, the presentation took only about an hour and was relatively painless, with no high-pressure tactics. Several days later, Mike came by to inspect our windows and confirm measurements for the build specifications. This took only about a half-hour. Mike answered some questions about the installation process and said that the windows and door could take up to 6 weeks to build. Imagine our surprise when we received a call a week later to schedule our installation. On installation day, the three-man team arrived on time. They introduced themselves and the team lead, Ted, described the process and then they got right to work. They tarped the paths to all the windows to protect the floors. They were very careful and respectful of our house. The entire team was friendly and polite and experienced and highly skilled. You could tell that they’d done this a time or two. The outside trim work is fantastic and the inside finish work is great. All 17 windows and the sliding door were installed in a single day. Ted went over the operation of the windows and door. The windows and door look and function great. We couldn’t be happier. If you are considering a window or door replacement project, we strongly recommend that you engage Window Nation. My door has not latched properly since they made some unwanted modifications to the hardware (it worked perfectly before they started modifying it).have had them out three separate times to fix the issue they caused with the door latch and lock. Every “fix” they do seems to make the problem worse. I would steer clear of this company for door installations."

"Beware: company recently sold beginning of 2024 to new owners. Not same reputable company it used to be! This has been an absolute nightmare experience. This company has no idea what they are doing and poor customer service / management. We are building a 4 season room and ordered 19 windows totaling about $19,000. Contract signed December 8, 2023. Windows measured January 8, 2024 and told about 7-9 weeks until job completion. Windows had to be remeasured February 28th as no one noticed the measurements were not correct / order sitting on a desk. On installation day, 2 windows were incorrect. Was told replacement windows was supposed to be rushed ordered 2 weeks and promised “top priority” by manager Alen D to get them installed (April 9th) – only to have it delayed another 6 weeks (May 21+22) installed. Windows took 19 weeks from the day they were supposed to have been “ordered”. Communication with office staff and “managers” extremely poor and we were ghosted multiple times."

Door or window screens installs or repairs FAQs
Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.
The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.
To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.
Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.
Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
