"Please please be aware of this company. At first Shawn comes across as if he's your best friend and it all started great. We were recommended by our public adjuster after a house fire and things started great. But after he got his 2 big payments from our insurance company, he got us toove back in but never came back to finish the work and now is demanding we pay for unfinished work. Be careful if using public adjuster that recommends Bulovas and East end designs. I know they run a business for profit, just be aware of where your insurance money is going and have a written contract that you read for everything, not just to hand over what the insurance pays. You are entitled to only pay for work done!!! And if you do additional add one, get a price of what the extra cost will be. Do not listen when he says he will make it all work within the budget and document every little thing"

"DON"T USE THIS COMPANY! Ethan W,the representative, will promise you anything, but after his men install your awning and take your check, you will never see them again. I originally called Metropolitan Awnings and Ethan came over and told me he could recover and repair my retractable awning. I gave him a deposit of $1000. When his men arrived, they said the awning wouldn't work and they put me on the phone with Ethan,who said I need a whole new awning because they could fix my old awning after all. When his men returned with a new awning, they installed it and I gave them a check for $3613. I questioned them because the awning was hard to open and close, but they said it would loosen up quickly with use and to call Ethan if there was any problem. Shortly after I did have to call Ethan because the awning filled with water pockets during a storm. Ethan said he would come over and adjust the awning, but he never showed up for his appointment and he never returned any of my calls. I did speak to him one more time when I called him from another phone. He said he had tried to reach me many times and would come over. He never showed up and I was never able to reach him from that phone again either. He also never sent a receipt for the awning and each time I talked to him he promised to send the receipt. When I tried to check his various addresses on Google Maps, they show a vacant lot with a school bus in front of it or a non-existent building. You can't trust this company for any work and especially be aware of any business attached to the 718-807-7233 telephone number or Ethan W."
