We needed landscape remediation as water was building up in the front side of our house (during heavy rain) and wanted a new flower bed as well. I contacted them and they got back to me right away. Pierce came out to take a look and after talking to him, I was confident he had the expertise to do the work. To no surprise, he and his crew did a fantastic job. I defaulted to his opinion about what plants would look great in the flower bed. My only request was a small Japanese maple. The communication was great from start to finish. "Working with DJ from Groundworks (Select Basement) has been an outstanding experience. After struggling with various contractors who either failed to resolve our water issues or were unprofessional, DJ and his team truly stood out. DJ was incredibly helpful, patient, and responsive throughout the entire process. Our home is a ranch with 225 linear feet around the perimeter, and while other contractors insisted on installing a French drain for the entire length, DJ recommended a more targeted approach. He proposed installing the French drain for just 80 linear feet, focusing only on the areas where water intrusion was likely. His thorough explanations and prompt responses to all our questions were greatly appreciated. The workers arrived on time, maintained a clean work environment, and completed the job as promised. He then choose to delivery moldy pavers from the supply house he picked them up and didn't even tell us about them until after he was installing them. We signed a contract stating no money upfront until the job was completed he was yelling the entire time he worked that he wants to get paid. He was very dishonest and he doesn't even want to come back to fix pavers that are damaged after he left us with 3 year warranty. I definitely would not hire this guy to do your job. He then tell me to take off the bad reviews. I will come fix your pavers and then he did nothing to repair them. Very very dishonest contractor..STAY FAR AWAY!!"
