"Where do we start? I went through about 6-7 appointments / quotes for a couple of months with the major builders in the area. Same old story-- sales agent comes by, hear the pitch, sugar coats that it will be sub contractors working on the project, and then a wild range of quotes. Not a comforting process, especially for the major project (new deck/pergola) that we wanted. I had already gone through this process with other project bids and had mixed results, like everyone else. So when David came by and said only him and his sons would be building the deck--he had my attention. Suffice to say, our high expectations were exceeded. David and his sons took their time, were very detail oriented, always friendly/cordial/respectful. The build is very high quality, and the pictures speak for themselves. "Once again, Gabriel and his crew did a great job! This summer a large tree fell on our old detached brick garage. When they came to replace the roof it was discovered that the garage was to severely compromised and it started to collapse. So they tore it down and did a complete rebuild in cinder block with a nice stucco finish to match our house. Poured a new floor, installed a new door and opener, and even replaced a wood fence that had been damaged. These guys can do it all. Done within a few weeks at a reasonable price. Friendly crew, easy to work with. Recommended, will hire again!"

Barron responded quickly, came by and surveyed the work to be done, advised as to my best options and quoted me a fair price and fit me into his schedule with minimum delays, Less than 2 weeks later the crew showed up to start the job. The crew foreman was highly experienced, and I had confidence in him and Barron to tell me what needed to be done and some other things that would probably not benefit the job. "About a year earlier than our project, several of the homeowners in our community with stucco homes had their chimney rebuilt and the stucco replaced as a result of mold, rotting wood, and other water infiltration problems. Seeing what our neighbors were doing and knowing about the problems with stucco in PA, we hired a stucco inspector who identified several areas around our house where the stucco needed to be remediated, including the chimney. JJ&E Construction agreed to remove the stucco and repair the areas identified by the inspector with the understanding that if addition underlying problems were found, they would be required to address them. Once the work started, it quickly became apparent that the original stucco was not installed correctly. JJ&E also found that the foundation on the back wall of our walk-out basement was not installed correctly and agreed to repair that. JJ&E removed all the original stucco, replaced any damaged or rotted wood, replaced any damaged insulation, and installed new exterior plywood, Tyvek® wrap, additional weatherproofing layers, aluminum wrap trim around the doors and windows, and stucco that meets all current codes. The craftsmanship of all the work was excellent."

"I had a few projects done by Grandview deck and patio. First it was a patio and then two years later I did a covered addition to it. I was promised from Darrell that they were going to send somebody out and fix part of the patio that had concaved in. I was also promised to have somebody come out with concrete and fix the bottom of the concrete poles that were put in to my patio cover. Numerous calls were made and no one has ever gotten back to us. They basically took their money and ran."
