"I found Yuri on the HomeAdvisor website and hired him on the basis of his excellent reviews. He did not disappoint. We had a difficult project: installing a tile facade over a 25' brick fireplace in our home. After a week of treading carefully on scaffolding and essentially performing a highwire act, our new fireplace is stunning. We are grateful for his services and will hire him again in the future. I should mention that working at such heights was not his favorite part of the job (although he was quite cheerful about it) so don't be surprised if he is not eager to do it again. But his advice, preparation, tile installation, clean-up and work ethic were outstanding."

"Zac is a very knowledgeable contractor. He gave us different options, with pros and cons and allowed us to decide. And he gave us a very fair price. His crew is amazing, good craftsmen and hard working. We could not be more happy with the end result. I would recommend this company to everyone."

Custom Kitchens & Bathrooms
"I used the Pittsburgh office of Jeff Lape and his crew. He was very reliable and attentive. If he said he was going to do something, he did it! He gave me a lot of good design ideas, and helped me select the cabinets, countertops, and flooring. The finished kitchen was beyond my wildest expectations. Itâ s fun to see the amazed reactions of people when I show them the new kitchen. Hiring Jeff was one of the best decisions I ever made."

"Jim and his company did a fantastic job on our bathroom. We couldn't be more pleased with the work they have done for us. I have used Reiter's Renovations repeatedly not for just a bathroom but a complete basement remodel and new flooring throughout our first floor! Absolutely beautiful craftsmanship is an understatement and I would recommend them to anyone."

"Completed two full bathroom remodels. Was very open to my suggestions and gave me exactly what I was looking for. Tour out an old tub surround. And switched the shower and toilet locations. Not a simple project but it came out beautifully. I highly recommend this contractor."

You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
