The company began during the COVID-19 Pandemic of 2020 when owner Jesse Carpenter realized residents wanted to take this time to update the exterior of their homes, businesses and multi-family units. There were plenty of companies to choose from, but many were not trustworthy. With more than 30 years of combined experience in the construction field, the team at Rocket Exteriors wanted to give residents a company they could trust long after the pandemic. They are known for their high-quality products, out-standing attention to detail and unparalleled installation. They focus on making the installation process seamless for their customers. Why? "Joe was fantastic in resolving these repairs at my mother's 100 year old house. Working through a federal program for funding, Joe provided the estimate quickly and within budget. He was able to find era-appropriate flooring for the porch. He also installed much safer handrails on the steps up from the street to the porch and corrected the unsafe side entry by installing a sturdy platform and step. I will hire him for any of the items I need done at mom's or my house. Thanks Joe and crew."

"I contacted Mr Handyman from Angie's List around June 25th 2024. Mr Handy sent me a quote on June 26th for $3360 for 2men and 2days to complete the job of building a sunroom at my home. I excepted and scheduled a appointment for work to be done on July the 1st. Mr. Handyman called me on June the 28th to reschedule for July the 2 2024. They showed up on the 2nd worked 5 hours and come again on July 3 2024 worked for 8 hours. Job was still not completed. I called the company on July 8 2024 to find out about completed the job, I was told that someone would be out on July 10 2024 no one showed. I called the company around 9am on the 10th I was told that someone would be out to complete the job on July 11 2024. No one showed or called on July 11 2024. I called the company on July 12 2024 I spoke with the Owner and he said he would have someone out on July 15 2024 between 8-10am. The contractor came out on July 15 2024 worked 3 hours and told me that nothing could be done about the leak in the roof or the stripped door handle and missing screws. I called back to the company talked to the owner I offered to send photos of the job he refused to accepted. I have not talk to or received any call about rectifying to problem. I would like a refund of $1491 to hire another contractor. I do not trust this company to do the job correctly."

To frame or retrofit a pocket door, you'd need to modify an existing wall to fit the door and its hardware. You can use some standard doors as pocket doors, but they must fit the required dimensions. The door has to slide smoothly into the wall cavity, so it must be the right size and thickness. Also, any existing hardware holes need to be adjusted or covered up to work correctly, increasing labor costs.
For a pocket door, you need enough wall space for the door to slide into. A standard 32-inch-wide door requires about 66 inches of wall space in total—including the doorway and the pocket. The wall you install it in should be at least four inches deep to fit the door's thickness.
Installing a pocket door usually takes about six to 12 hours. If your project requires extra work like wall modifications or electrical adjustments, it might take a couple of days. The exact time depends on your home's layout, the type of door you’re installing, and the complexity of the project.
Removing a pocket door involves more than just taking down the door. You'll likely need to open up the wall to access the door mechanism, adjust any wiring or plumbing inside, and then rebuild the wall afterward. Costs can range from $1,000 to $3,200, depending on how much work is needed.
