"After weeks of getting the runaround from several larger local fence companies; unreturned calls and e-mails, difficulty scheduling for someone to come out and give a quote, length of time to complete, etc., we were a little despondent. We only needed 80 feet of chain link fence installed at the back of our property, after our neighbor removed his fence and we no longer had the security for our pet or the privacy we liked. Not a big job, but still a job! Luckily, I saw a recommendation for Shark Home Improvement on Facebook. My wife called, and was pleasantly surprised that the call was answered promptly by Greg, rather than a machine. She explained the situation, and he arranged a time to come over and meet with us that fit our work schedule. On the appointed day and time, he arrived, reviewed what was needed, discussed options, explained the process, and said he would get a quote to us within a couple of days. When we received it, the price for the job was reasonable so we agreed. We scheduled for him to come out again to sign the contract, and his wife, Renee, then prepared the needed paperwork for permitting and to order the supplies needed. She called about a week later to inform us when the materials would be delivered, and that they would be out to install the day after. Materials arrived as scheduled, and were placed in an area that did not interfere with driveway access. The following day, Greg & Renee arrived a little earlier than planned, and immediately got to work. Well, in just about 3 hours the job was completed, and looks great! We are thrilled to have the security aspect back, and will be installing a privacy screen on the chain link within the next week. This is how all businesses should operate, with dedication and exemplary customer service! "It went very well. I was impressed because Jarrod handled a change in the location of an aluminum fence post very well. I initially thought the original placement would work, but after seeing it in person, I realized it wouldn't. Jarrod moved the post, per my request, without any complaint and completed the aluminum fence installation in a timely manner. One top rail was slightly damaged during the install, but after I called, Jarrod came out and replaced it promptly. I would definitely use him again."

"Beware!! This company put a fence in for me and I'm not really impressed for the 1000's of dollars that I spent. I live out of state therefore wasn't there for install. Come to find out once in town that gate is messed up and will hardly open cause when they put hinge on they split the 4x4 therfore it's shifted. Also needed assistance after the hurricane with fixing fence. At first they said they would go check it out in 2 weeks.. The receptionist said they would reach out within 2 weeks. Waited a month and reached out to them again due to not hearing and again they said it would be a couple weeks. Again I never heard from them. Fast forward 2.5 months I called back again and Mr Bill got on the phone and said that he would be out and gave me a day he would be there. When I called to confirm the day they were supposed to be there they canceled.. Nothing but frustration has come from using this company.. so as stated before Beware Usually do not post negative reviews but this company is ridiculous.."

"I realize it is way past hurricane Ian, however I was not aware of any issue(s) until now. My fence was installed back in 2019 and I paid 6k for a vinyl privacy fence for 3/4 of my yard and chain link on 1/4. Of course the vinyl fence was destroyed by Ian. I have been informed though that the vinyl post should have had wood posts inside them to reinforce them rather than be hollow. In addition it was brought to my attention that no tension wire was installed on the chain link fence. I am not a contractor and had no idea there should have been a tension wire. The lack of tension wire continues to allow for animals to enter my yard. I am a single mom on a budget. I had several estimates and chose Englewood Fencing, which I know now was a mistake. I would advise against using Englewood Fencing."

"H & Y Fence is a horrible company to do business with. On 4/8/21, I signed a contract with H & Y to remove and replace 6 fence panels surrounding a human waste lift station. H & Y wanted half the money upfront, which I paid them. On 6/29/21, their crew finally came and removed 6 four-foot by six-foot fence panels. They were supposed to reinstall them the next day, 6/30/21. Six weeks later, we are still waiting, and community residents have to look at the human waste lift station. H & Y are in breach of contract. When I call them, I am told someone will call me right back. No one ever does."
