Climate Control provides high quality residential and commercial heating, air conditioning and indoor air quality systems, repairs as well as scheduled maintenance services. These systems include the client’s homes and businesses. Climate Control, established in 1989, focuses in the add-on, replacement and HVAC service business in both the residential and commercial marketplace. The company grew out of a vision of the owners to focus on the service and add-on replacement business. The founder’s previous HVAC service experience was commercial only but saw an opportunity in the residential add-on, replacement and service business that was under served. By focusing on long term relationships through planned maintenance and providing high quality HVAC repair and service, the company established a loyal client base. With a specific focus, the company can achieve consistently higher standards to benefit the client.
"Decent service, but way too expensive. They charged me $175 per lb for R410A for my system, if my system required more than 6 lbs. Turns out my sytem required 12 pounds, so my final bill was more than $1000 more than the iniitial quote. When I checked online, R410A could be bought for $10 per lb, in a 25 lb container. Other HVAC companies I called (after the fact), quoted prices of $40-$80 per lb for R410A. Make sure to ask how much they charge for refrigerant before hiring this company!!"

"Tony and his crew were top of the line. My AC went down during this heatwave, and it was just one more thing in a bunch of complications I was having at the moment, the main one being that my son was having his wisdom teeth pulled, and I didn't want him to spend the night in a 100 degree house. I called Tony and he not only offered to make the job work time-wise, but he did it for the best price. Friendly, courteous, completely trustworthy. I can't recommend them enough."

We are happy to provide handyman, home repair and home improvement services to the broader Portland area - from Oregon City to Scappose and Forest Grove to Gresham, including Lake Oswego, West Linn, Beaverton, and all areas of Portland. Our specialty is anything in and around the home (or business) that takes between two hours and two days to complete. We offer free over-the-phone estimates and firm appointment times to save you time, all our handymen are licensed, bonded, and ensured as our employees, and we guarantee our work for a year.
"I was charged $150 to have nothing done except make work for myself moving everything out of the room and now moving it back in. Where to begin, first off…do yourself a favor. Anything more than say a small job that you could probably do yourself with a youtube video showing you step by step, get a legit service to come on out and view the job with their own eyeballs to tell you if they can do it. The individual who showed up was very nice so I lay no blame on him, but I spoke over the phone with their main office about having some floor squeaks I wanted fixed. Pull back carpet, find joists, screw it down and put carpet back. I was told that some parts of the carpet could tear and that but fixing the squeak another squeak maybe in time shows up elsewhere. I understood what was said and was told the 4 hour package should be what I need. We moved forward… Our guy arrived on time but we cleared the room to make it easy and was told he can pull the carpet or drill through carpet, but I wanted it done right, he mentioned they do not put the carpet back. On the phone when I agreed to go forward, I was told that it would go back and even knew the risks but a few times our guy said, “no we do not put the carpet back” and you need a carpet specialist. Then when the 1 job was a wash, I was informed I must pay $150 for the trip out which we were both very upset about. I asked him to just try and install a light fixture to make use of the hour though I was going to do it myself later. Through no fault of his own, when the box opened it was missing a critical mounting component. So, no light mounted. In short, unless it is an ULTRA small job, get people who specialize in your needs. People need to come out and inspect the job so the handyman knows what the job is exactly rather than an office saying they can do anything no problem and then not deliver. I was told they can reschedule and do everything then I can call a carpet specialist to put the old carpet back down as it was to simply be rolled back some, at that point I’d rather 1 person do it all and Ace is NOT it. The house has lots of small projects but honestly, I don’t see myself ever using them again. I honestly feel like I was robbed."

Tittel Enterprises Inc. (TEI) was founded in 1999 in the state of Washington. Since its creation, our mission has been to service high-tech test equipment for manufacturing, research, and design customers in the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, and Canada. The manufacturers of this equipment were looking for a company to fill a void in the industry where services were not being performed correctly by established technicians. Considering this, our business is devoted to providing mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and installations for residential and commercial properties that need them most. Working with manufacturers has given us a unique advantage when it comes to ensuring that warranty requirements are understood and followed. These relationships have also allowed us to have direct input when it comes to working with equipment manufacturers on designs and upgrades. Our years of experience in the industry allow us to evaluate your needs and provide recommendations that we feel will meet them completely. We ask that you choose us for any of your residential or commercial HVAC needs in Multnomah County, as we vow to adhere to your needs and meet the requirements of your bottom line.
"I appreciated the kind fast service and honesty. My heat pump probably needs replaced but it is working well at this time with the repairs."

"“I would never do business again with Comfort Solutions and Heating. On Oct. 31, one of their servicemen came out to clean our furnace. Three hours later, it quit working. A technician came out again November 1 and installed a new circuit board for $1.065.33 but our furnace still didn't work. In his invoice, he noted that we wanted a new gas furnace since ours was 17 years old, but still came out again November 5 and installed a gas valve which cost $550. Finally Comfort Solutions realized we were looking for a bid proposal. Their final offer was $7,159.19 which didn't include an air filter. I told them we wanted to seek other bid proposals. Comfort Solutions did offer to give us a credit of $1,083 for the circuit board and gas valve. A very reputable firm in business for 92 years, Robber & Sons gave us a proposal for $4,860 including an air filter and a new thermostat. I contacted Brian Adams, the owner of Comfort Solutions asking him to either match their price or give us the credit for the circuit board and gas valve, sending him an email and mailing a letter to him. Five days later and he has yet to contact us. I can't tell you how disappointed I am at Mr. Adams. My wife and I are senior citizens on limited income.. I'm pleased we found another furnace company that isn't overcharging us.”"

It's often worth replacing your old thermostat with a newer model that can enhance your home's comfort and energy efficiency. Upgrading to a programmable or smart thermostat can save you up to $200 per year on energy bills. Plus, smart thermostats offer convenient features like remote control and learning capabilities, making your home more comfortable and easier to manage.
Signs of a bad thermostat include your HVAC system not turning on when it's supposed to or failing to reach the desired temperature. If the thermostat's display is blank or not functioning properly, it could be malfunctioning. Another indicator is the HVAC system running continuously without shutting off or cycling on and off too frequently. You might also notice uneven temperatures throughout your home, with some rooms being too warm or too cold. These issues suggest that the thermostat is failing and may need repair or replacement to ensure your HVAC system operates efficiently.
A thermostat should last between 10 to 20 years, depending on its quality and how well it's maintained. Over time, dust, wiring issues, and general wear can affect its performance. Even if a thermostat is still functioning after 10 years, you might choose to replace it to take advantage of newer energy-saving technologies and smart home integrations. Upgrading to a modern thermostat can improve efficiency, offer more control over your home's climate, and potentially lower energy bills.
The number of thermostats you need depends on your home's size, layout, and heating and cooling zones. In a standard single-zone HVAC system, one thermostat controls the temperature for the entire home. However, larger homes or those with multiple floors might benefit from multiple thermostats linked to a multi-zone HVAC system. This setup can offer better comfort and energy efficiency: It lets you customize the temperature in different areas, so you're only heating or cooling the spaces you're using.
Replacing a thermostat typically takes a professional technician about one to two hours to complete. If you're swapping out an existing thermostat for a similar model with compatible wiring, the process can be done in less than an hour. However, installing a new thermostat that requires additional wiring, such as a smart thermostat, or moving the thermostat to a new location can extend the time to two hours or more. Complex installations may also involve cutting into drywall or integrating with other home systems, which can add to the duration.
There are a few things that can cause your home thermostat to fail. The most simple one is age and cleanliness. Dirt, grease, dust, and other small particles can clog sensors and cause malfunctions in readings. You may also have a failing power supply and loose connections, and the simplest cause is that it isn't installed in the right place in your home so it can't properly sense air temperature. Repairing a thermostat costs around $210.
