"The lead mover kept complaining about having to move a piano, even though it was clearly listed in the initial booking. Instead of using proper equipment, they shoved it across the living room, leaving nasty gouges on my hardwood floor."

"On December 19th Gabe and one of his employees moved my one bedroom. During the move Gabe the owner asked me if I was interested in mounting my two TVs for 201.83. He did a good job with the move and I did want the TVs mounted, so I said yes. He came back on a different day to install both. He had difficulty installing both but eventually, the TVs were both mounted on the wall. I thought everything was great up until around 2 months later. One day all of a sudden, my bedroom TV fell right onto the ground and damaged the wall. I wasn’t home when it happened. The TV was one year, and 2 months old when it was damaged. I spent around 1000.00 dollars for it new on Amazon. The wall was damaged from the installation but I didn’t know it yet in till it fell Zack the tv repair/mount installer I hired; told me Gabe did not install either tv correctly and that’s why there is wall damage to the tv in the bedroom and the wall. Zack explained to me that not only was the mount not installed to the wall correctly, but he also used the wrong bolts that were too long for that TV and caused the bolts to strip and not be able to be removed for repair. I was told the bolts were so far into the tv it caused damage to the internal board in the TV. I was told by Zack after he took the TV with him to his shop that he was eventually able to remove the back cover of the TV but it was damaged too greatly. Zack thinks the living room wall is ok but said he is not certain. I texted and messaged Gabe's girlfriend whom I spoke to several times during the move and after Gabe installed the mounts due to the fact he didn’t remove the two TV stands that I no longer needed. He eventually did come by several days later to remove both. He didn’t clean up after himself in either room so instead of making him come back to do it, I did it myself and never said a word. It was minor so I dealt with it. The move went well and he gave me a good price for the installs so I said nothing about it. I gave him several good reviews online as well. After the TV fell, I was in shock and upset of course but didn’t contact Gabe or his girlfriend who is co-owner due to the fact I knew he wasn’t insured for the wall mount install. His business has moving goods insurance and nothing more. This means only the actual move was insured not the tv wall mounting jobs. It was also done on a different day than the move. I needed a TV right away and wanted the wall fixed right away as well. I found a much cheaper Roku TV on Amazon that was the same size on sale so I decided to buy it as I can’t afford to buy another Samsung TV which is considered top quality. I was lucky and knew a close friend who does wall repair work and fixed it for me for only 100 dollars for supplies. Keep in mind I completely didn’t know that I could dispute the charge through Angie, so I paid for everything myself including paying only 120.00 to Zack for reinstalling both TVs which is extremely inexpensive. I believe he felt bad for me so he gave me a very cheap rate. Zack was so nice he didn’t charge me a fee to inspect the TV either. Now, a few days after everything was fixed, I spoke to my dad and he told me I could put in a dispute through Angie. But instead of filing a dispute right away, I contacted Gabe. His phone was disconnected so I reached out to his girlfriend and texted her what happened. She cares and feels terrible. I sent her many pictures of the damaged wall and pictures of the back of the TV. Instead of texting me back or just ignoring me she called me to my surprise and asked how much everything cost. I told her how much everything was and she offered 500.00 via Venmo. I figured it was better than nothing so I accepted the offer. She never sent the money that night. I figured she spoke to Gabe and he must have talked her out of it wondering why I didn’t contact him right away when it happened. I texted his girlfriend the next day to ask why she didn’t pay me and she said Gabe wanted to speak to me on the phone. So, I called him right away and instead of being understanding and empathic as well as apologetic he was rude, uptight, very defensive, and hostile during our one phone conversation. I had a very pleasant conversation with his wife who knows what good customer service is after a job. Gabe unfortunately doesn’t have that same quality. He was all nice during the move and the mount jobs but as soon as there is a problem after the jobs, he doesn’t want to work it out. He said he didn’t understand why I didn’t contact him right away. I explained to him at least three times on the phone and through text that his insurance couldn’t cover it and I wasn’t comfortable lying verbally or on paper to his insurance company about what happened. The only way was to lie and say this happened during the move which still doesn’t make sense because this just happened 5 days ago. Not only can he lose his moving insurance coverage, but it’s also a felony to lie to any insurance company. He could not prove to me that he had tv mounting installation insurance and that’s why I decided to dispute. I gave him a day to decide what he wanted to do and never heard back from him yesterday or today."

"Choose Someone Else! We hired Master Movers on the recommendation of someone in the industry to move my mom from Florida to California, where she would eventually be in a retirement community. This is one of those stressful, downsizing, life-moments and I was hoping to make this as easy and low stress for my mom as possible. Towards that end, we hired Master Movers to remove and sell the bulk of her 2400+ sf home which included a white baby grand piano, a large entertainment center, a carved bar, etc. Beautiful pieces which were in perfect condition. It was communicated during the entire process that she didn’t yet have a room in her new community and would be living in an Airbnb until that was available. The discussions always centered around whether items would be stored in Florida or California until that date. We eventually decided California. When she finally moved into her place less than a month after the truck delivered them to a storage facility in California, we used a wonderful company called Managing Moves & More to pick up the items, unpack and set her up new apartment. I was there for that process and it was a depressing day. Our contact and MM&M was equally upset – she said she had never seen so much damage and she does this for a living The majority of items were damaged or broken; unique treasures she had collected overseas: a tall glass vase from Venice, the wooden frames or original artwork gouged, lamp shade missing, redwood floor lamp broken with 5-6 large gouges, over 10-12 glass an ceramic pieces that had to be glued back together, several large, wooden animal sculptures that were damaged or had to be repaired, a second lamp irreparable broken with fixture hanging over, metal pot for 9 foot high artificial tree bashed in on 2 sides, it just goes on and on. And the number of items missing are still being identified. If artwork and lamps were properly packed there would have been NO way for such damage to occur unless someone went after these items with a pocket knife. As a professional moving company, I would have expected that fragile items (ceramics, glass, vases), would have been packed to survive a move which I don’t think is uncommon. I strongly encourage anyone reading this review to select another moving company. For all of this heartache and stress, they offered my mom $1600 to never see important items again, to always look at damaged items that still show cracks, to always remember the sentimental gifts from her daughter and departed husband that she’ll never see again. Horrible, horrible. My profession is customer service and that is not what these guys know how to do. Caveat Emptor"

When you're getting estimates or finalizing the transport schedule, be ready to provide your mover with your motorcycle's make and model, weight, dimensions, value, and overall condition. Let them know your preferred shipping method—open or enclosed—and your desired timetable. Don't forget to discuss insurance options, pick-up and drop-off locations, and ask about tracking your shipment.
When you're preparing your motorcycle for shipment, wash it well and make a list of any notable damage. Remove all personal items and deactivate any alarms. If your bike is shipping via crate, drain the gas from the tank and remove the battery. Put it into neutral gear for shipping. Be sure to take plenty of pictures for insurance purposes, if needed. Note any pre-existing cosmetic damage, like scratches and dings, and write down the mileage and the engine's condition.
You can ship your motorcycle by truck, train, plane, or boat. These methods ensure that your bike is securely fastened with the proper tie-down equipment during the journey. Truck shipments can be done with either open or enclosed trailers, while trains, planes, and boats offer different logistical routes. Contact an expert carrier to confirm the specific details and secure shipping methods to ensure your motorcycle reaches its destination safely.
Keeping your motorcycle upright during shipping prevents battery acid leakage and protects against engine hydrolock by ensuring oil doesn't enter the combustion chamber. This helps preserve the bike's structural integrity and performance. Professional motorcycle carriers have the proper equipment to keep your motorcycle safe and secure during the moving journey.
